The beauty of getting used to a particular thing, should I call it a privilege? Is that sometimes you forget just how fortunate you are. Hive is one of the greatest platforms for content creators, coupled with the fact that its a Web 3.0 social media platform on a blockchain just makes it really cool.starting your journey on hive as a content creator is one of the easiest and one of the best ways to start utilising your brain into being more and extremely creative.
I have been blogging constantly on hive for over a year and everyday on Hive just always make me want to come back the next day and keeping doing what I am doing. No regrets at all. Besides every content on my blog is mine and there is no censorship. Hive is free, having an account is not hard and using hive is not like rocket science. So I feel that anyone that is using Hive, should be considered privileged.
I went to the gym today to work out, one of my gym buddies saw me making a post on Leofinance in the gym, he got interested and asked me to tell him more about what I was doing. I told him that I am a crypto blogger on the Hive Blockchain using the Leofinance Community. That felt great and I felt really good talking about Hive to other people who don’t know about Hive. its been a long time I did some evangelism, that’s what I call it. It felt so great, because talking to this person reminded me of how lucky I am to be on Hive.
Apparently this person has been blogging about crypto on his own website but haven’t been getting engagements, traffic or benefitting from his contents. His contents are more of like a diary now. He is a crypto blogger, but doesn’t have much experience on crypto. This reminded me of myself before I joined Hive and became active in the Leofinance Community. i called myself a crypto investor, when all I know about crypto is just buying and selling of coins. Never knew about the history of crypto, Satoshi Nakamuto, DeFi, staking and other crypto terms. But all that changed when I joined Hive and became a constant crypto content creator on Leofinance, I knew I had a lot to learn. So I did the right thing and suggested Hive.
While the incentives that comes from hive is great, the experience is greater, my blog is like my own website, just not custom made with my unique name, like other names. If people want to read my blog, they can just search for my name when they enter the site. Depending on the frontend, if they are trying to use the Leofinance frontend it will be hard to search because of the lack of search bar.
You Don’t Fully Own Your Content On Web 2.0
You get told this a lot, you see people complain a lot, especially on YouTube where people complain about getting banned, or being unable to monetise their content because of some sort of restrivtions. These are not things to be worried about on Hive. I am so sure that when a lot of people join Hive, talking about having over 25 Million people on the platform, the value of hive will make people regret they didn’t discover way sooner.
