Hello and Everyone
Delhi is one of the metro cities and it is also the capital of India. Lots of people dream of living in a city like Delhi because it is a big city and almost every facility is available in the city. India has got four metro cities and Delhi is one of them so it's obvious that the majority of people like to live here. The city is expensive and there are many problems but it is also fun to live in Delhi. I have not been to any other city but still, I think Delhi is better than others.
If I talk about the problems then traffic is one of the biggest problems in Delhi. If you are travelling in mourning time when office commuters start then just take enough gap because even a 10-kilometre drive can take about 45 minutes to one hour. It is this traffic is one of the biggest problems in most of the cities in the country.
Pollution is another big problem in this city and especially after the Diwali Festival it is severe. A few times a year an advisory is issued by the government to stay at home because the outside air quality is not good. This is so bad that even an air purifier cannot do anything to improve this. Air is the basic necessity for us and if we don't breathe in clean air then it creates a lot of health issues. Sadly this is a big problem in this city and we hardly get the air that is good for our health. It's been almost a decade for me in this city and this situation was not like this earlier when I moved into the city but now.
It is crowded and a lot of people keep on coming to the city because of which the traffic increases. Things are expensive because it is a matter city so the cost of living is also high including the rental expenses and daily necessities are also quite expensive. We have the facility that things can be delivered at home and online shopping is very convenient but that's not all. People live here because they have their work here and they are required to live in the city for their work purposes. I remember during the time of the pandemic lockdown companies provided the option to work from home and that was the time when many people went back to their native places.
Roads are good so transportation is good and even the public transport is very good. If you don't have your vehicle then it's fine because you can get public transport in every part of the city with ease. Water quality is another challenge and you cannot consume the groundwater because it is not at all healthy. We have to depend upon the water supply which sometimes doesn't work as per schedule. There are fewer power cuts but it happens especially in the summer season and that is the time when people need to struggle with this. I think the reason behind the low water supply and power cuts is that there are more people than planned and because of that authorities are not able to provide the basic services to the people living in the city.
Food is delicious in the city and Delhi is a very known place for amazing food. You forget all the problems but you will enjoy the food you get in the city. It's inexpensive and you get a variety of food in every cuisine. You can enjoy the variety of food and taste in many parts of the city and there are so many specialities of the food which attracts many people even outside India.
Ultimately no matter what the problems you face in the city you know that you will have to live here so you get familiar with this after some point in time. This is also because you know that things are not going to change overnight and you should get familiar with those problems else it will be difficult for you to leave. So I can say that there are some problems but still there are so many good things about the city and this is why people who live in the city love the city.
