Another recurring Splinterlands event is the Community Engagement Challenge, with a different theme for the NFT Game community to create content and debate about. This week the theme will be “The Art of Synergy”, #SplinterSynergy, with the objective of talking about the synergies that exist with the cards, which cards work well together and what kind of advantage they create. The Importance of Synergy!
For a beginner player or even a player who has been playing for a while but still doesn't have all the cards, much less their card collection leveled up to the maximum level, don't worry, because even if you don't have the strongest cards, which do make a difference, it is still possible to defeat your opponents through strategy and Synergy between Cards.
An example of a simple synergy is when a card from your team or even the chosen summoner gives a buff that increases the attack of all your allies, as is the case with the Earth Element Summoner Obsidian. It grants all allied cards +1 magic damage, thus, all mages receive a buff generating the most direct synergy. So, if your opponent has a card with 2 magic attack and you have two cards with 1 magic attack, with this buff you end up having 4 magic damage per turn. Do you understand the difference? Finding and understanding the synergies and buffs of cards is the way for players with weaker decks to defeat players with expensive decks.
The Fast Water Combo: Kelya + Oshannus
The Speed-focused Combo for the Water Element has as its key piece perhaps the strongest Rare Summoner in the Chaos Collection, which is Kelya Frendul. This card, in addition to granting +1 Speed to all allies, also gives +1 Shield. Along with Kelya, another key piece is the Djinn Oshannus, who has an incredible stat and ability kit. His base speed is 5, his HP is high, starting with 10 and his attack is not bad, with 2 magic damage. In addition to the status, his void ability reduces magic damage by half and phase makes him dodge magic damage as well, which usually always hits.
The strength of this combo is that in addition to having a high chance of deflecting, the shield protects against melee attacks, while Oshannus holds back magical attacks and defeats opponents alongside the Supply Runner, which is important for diversifying this team's attack so as not to be countered by any unit resistant to magical attacks and guarantee the +1 Extra Speed. So, the result is Oshannus with 7 Speed, a total of 4 damage for only 18 mana.
How to improve this Speed Combo? 0 and 1 Mana.
Since this strategy uses few cards, focusing on the water and neutral elements to bring maximum speed, it ends up leaving a lot of space in the rest of the team composition. Therefore, it is always a viable option for the player to add some 0-cost cards to fill out the rest of the available team. The first option for those who play in Wild or Tournaments and Brawls that accept the Beta collection is always to have or rent a Chicken, because you end up being able to add it to almost every battle. Currently, a Normal Furious Chicken is going for $1.21. Its GF version, which will guarantee bonuses in matches, is $12, 10x more expensive.
For the Modern Format, there is the Fiends option, but unlike the chicken, which is for any element, you will need one for each element, which is a little more expensive.
In addition to the 0 mana cards, when you have one mana left in the match, you can choose to use Creeping Ooze, to further increase the speed difference between Oshannus and the enemies. A Importância da Sinergia!
Para um jogador iniciante ou até mesmo um jogador que tenha jogado faz tempo, mas ainda não tem todas as cartas, muito menos a sua coleção de cartas upadas no nível máxim, não se preocupe, porque mesmo não tendo as cartas mais fortes, que fazem sim a diferença, ainda é possível conseguir derrotar seus adversários através da estratégia e da Sinergia entre as Cartas.
Um exemplo de sinergia simples é quando uma carta do seu time ou até mesmo o summoner escolhida dá um buff que aumenta o ataque de todos os seus aliados, como ocorre por exemplo com a Summoner do Elemento Earth Obsidian. Ela garante à todas as cartas aliadas +1 de dano mágico, assim, todos os magos recebem um buff gerando a mais direta sinergia. Assim, se o oponente tem uma carta com 2 de ataque mágico e você tem duas cartas de 1 de magia, com esse buff você acaba tendo 4 de dano mágico por turno. Entende a diferença? Encontrar e entender as sinergias e os buffs das cartas é a maneira que jogadores de deck mais fracos tem de derrotar jogadores com decks caros.
The Fast Water Combo: Kelya + Oshannus
O Combo focado em Velocidade para o Elemento Água tem como peça fundamental talvez o Summoner Raro mais forte da Coleção Chaos, que é a Kelya Frendul. Essa carta além de garantir +1 de Speed para todos os aliados, ainda dá +1 de Escudo. Junto da Kelya outra peça fundamental é o Djinn Oshannus que tem um kit de status e habilidades incrível. Sua velocidade base é de 5, seu HP é alto, já começando com 10 e seu ataque não fica ruim, com 2 de dano mágico. Além dos status sua habilidade void reduz o dano mágico pela metade e phase faz com que ele desvie de dano mágico também, que normalmente sempre acertam.
A força desse combo é que além de ter uma alta chance de desviar o escudo protege contra os ataques melees, enquanto o Oshannus segura os ataques mágicos e vai derrotando os oponentes junto do Supply Runner, que tem a importância de diversificar o ataque desse time para não ser counterado por alguma unidade resistente à ataques mágicos e garantir o +1 de Speed Extra. Assim, o resultado é o Oshannus com 7 de Speed, um dano total de 4 por apenas 18 de mana.
Como melhorar esse Combo de Velocidade? 0 e 1 Mana.
Como essa estratégia se utiliza de poucas cartas, focando no elemento água e neutro para trazer o máximo de velocidade, acaba fazendo com que haja muitos espaços no restante da composição do time. Assim, é sempre uma opção viável para o jogador adicionar algumas cartas de custo 0 para preencher o restante do time disponível. A primeira opção para quem joga no Wild ou Torneios e Brawls que aceitem a coleção Beta, é sempre ter ou alugar uma Chicken, porque você acaba podendo adicionar ela em quase todas as batalhas. Atualmente uma Furious Chicken Normal está saindo por $1,21. Já a sua versão GF que vai garantir bonus nas partidas está $12 10x mais cara.
Para o Modern Format existe a opção dos Fiends, mas diferente da galinha que é para qualquer elemento os fiends você precisará de um para cada elementos, ficando um pouco mais caro.
Além das cartas de 0 mana, quando na partida tiver uma mana sobrando, você pode escolher usar o Creeping Ooze, para ampliar ainda mais a diferença de velocidade do Oshannus para os inimigos. Essa é muita vez uma opção mais barata para a Furious Chicken, porque sua versão normal é $0,25 e a Gold Foil está $4,99
