About the collage
After some time as a teacher and watching Monday through Friday as parents and children interact on the way to class, I am taken back to those years of my childhood. It really amazes me how much time has passed and how quickly for me I have reached this point.
I often miss those years of my childhood where everything was easier, happier and more peaceful. I miss the warmth of the home where I grew up and where my parents with loving ties took care of me.
As we grow up and mature we realize all the effort and love in each of their gestures, actions and scoldings. They showed us the true love that we can rarely see in this world.
I have that memory of my childhood, of my mother taking me to school. I remember that in spite of any difficulty that life had at that time, she gave her best, she would get up and before starting her day she would accompany me to school. It bothered me because I felt I was old enough to go alone. Now, remembering it, I understand the value of such a wonderful gesture of love.
Today I have a different perspective on life. Every day I see the faces of parents dropping their children off at the bus stop or at school. I see their expressions of joy and excitement to see their children grow up. I see the effort and love they put in every day to make sure they are well.
It is a collage full of learning and nostalgia. An outlet and a small expression. A memory of life that led me to reflect.
Acerca del collage
Después de cierto tiempo ejerciendo como docente y observando de lunes a viernes como los padres e hijos interactuar camino a clases , me llevo a esos años de mi niñez. Realmente me asombra todo el tiempo que ha pasado y lo rápido para mí como he llegado a este punto.
Muchas veces añoro esos años de mi niñez donde todo era más fácil, más feliz y tranquilo. Extraño la calidez del hogar donde crecí y donde mis padres con lazos de amor cuidaron de mí.
Al crecer y madurar nos damos cuenta de todo el esfuerzo y amor en cada uno de sus gestos, acciones y regaños. Nos demostraron el amor verdadero que pocas veces podemos ver en este mundo.
Tengo ese recuerdo de mi niñez , de mi madre llevándome a la escuela . Recuerdo que ha pesar de cualquier dificultad que tenía la vida para esos tiempos , ella daba lo mejor de si , se levantaba y antes de comenzar su jornada me acompañaba a la escuela. A mí me molestaba porque me sentía lo suficiente grande para ir sola . Ahora al recordarlo entiendo lo valioso de tan maravilloso gesto de amor.
Hoy en día tengo otra perspectiva de la vida. Todos los días observo las caras de los padres dejando a sus hijos en la parada del bus o en la escuela . Veo sus expresiones de alegría y de emoción de ver a sus hijos crecer. Veo el esfuerzo y amor que imprimen cada día para que estén bien.
Es un collage lleno de aprendizaje y nostalgia. Un desahogo y una pequeña expresión. Un recuerdo de vida que me llevo a reflexión.
