"All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy"

So those who have gone through my daily blog know that am currently doing my internship. Well, for those who don't know am doing a 5 week internship at HOPin academy not too far from my home. Its an NGO and I seem to be liking it there.
So over the weekend, we had a little game session organized to help us in releasing some stress. Although it was meant for staff, it was still open to the general public. A few people from outside came to join us in having some fun. Some of the games available were Oware, Cards etc. We were supposed to have a FIFA competition but for some reason, it didn't come off.
Official work hours end at 5 but since it was a Friday and we had a program we paused official duties at 4:30(30 minutes to closing). Before D-day, I was very interested in participating in the final competition. Am not too good at playing Oware. The only things I am good at (at least I think so) are playing cards and play fifa. So since the fifa was not available i opted for the cards.
Before our game there was this colleague bragging how good he is at cards and how he will spank me. To be fair on his
he beat me easily in the first two rounds but I made a wonderful comeback against him(only in my case, I didn't go ahead to win). I guess if I had won i would have used it as a yardstick to disturb him the whole of the following week
The ladies as usual decided to play the Ludo game. As you can see at their side there was no guy sitting with them.
On other tables there were a mixture of ladies and gents. On that table they played cards but it was solitaire( the computer cards). I hope you remember solitaire right? Since that one is easy to grasp the ladies were more interested in it.
We had music there and we also had a little refreshment. It’s called Nasa but I’ve forgotten its names in English.
At the far end there was no game there. For some reason the people sitting on the table were not too keen on getting involved with the crowed. They sat there and had conversations about life.
It seems they were not the only people who didn’t want to play the games as there were some other group of guys who sat there and could only talk about football. They spoke about ball and anything that came to mind. Truth be said am sure they also came because of the FIFA competition which didn't come off. Since it was not available they decided to stay back there and talk.
I had a great time and am glad they took time out to organize such an event. I would have taken more pictures but since am not used to the workers there I don’t like taking a lot of pictures of them. So please understand if you think I didn’t add enough pics.
