Hi splinter fam,
Welcome to my blog once again. This week I’ve been actively bawling. For this season I have an aim so I am trying very hard to play spl at each given chance or opportunity. Last season was an exciting one for me as I was able to get very good results. On top of that I made it knot champion III for the first time in spl. How crazy is that? I am super excited about champion cause for a couple of months now I’ve been trying so hard to get into champion.
Each time I am close I get beaten so badly to stupor. The thing about champion and diamond is that as much as you think you’re doing well in diamond complacency can just show up when you need just 20 rating to get into champion. I can’t count the number of times this has happened to me over this past months.
One funny part is that I wish I could actually hide my rating bar so that I don’t see it when I am playing. One will ask me why? But I have my reasons. It helps me a lot when I can’t actually see mu ratings. When I don’t see mu rating while I am playing I don’t get this anxiety and then go ahead and pick a line up that I normally wouldn’t go with. I can’t recall the number of times I have made that one mistake of going with a line up that I wouldn’t normally go with because I had just about 20 or 40 rating to get I or champion.
One other thing that I also don’t do is to look at the previous team that my opponent used. This strategy of looking at the past cards that your opponent used works for some people but unfortunately for me it doesn’t. When I started playing spl it worked for me so well. I actually don’t know why it worked but I think it was because I was in bronze and gold those times. You see, most people on gold and bronze are new players or we can also consider them as people who don’t have crazy cards so they are easily predictable. After looking at someone’s previous cards you can easily predict their next move and counter it but this doesn’t work so well in the upper leagues.
At times i even think even after having a look at someone’s line up they’ll still beat you regardless. The thing is when you are in the upper leagues you get to see cards which you didn’t even know existed in spl before. You come up against them an insane number of times and each time they beat you up.

So yh, being in champion is cool but what comes with it is messy. One crazy thing that also happened is that this week I got a chaos legion pack from the glint rewards chests. I’ve gotten a land token from the glint reward chests before so when I actually saw it at first I thought it was a land token but it turned out to be a chaos legion pack. When I opened it I didn’t get crazy cards but I was happy getting it.
So yh, i made it into champion III. For now, mu next target is making it into champion II which I know will be very hard to achieve any time soon. For now I am aiming to just enjoy getting into champion III and staying between diamond I and champion III for the time being.
