Today I bring you my drawing for the weekly Splinterlands community contest.
For this occasion I decided to use Arachne Thug card as inspiration, it is a death type card. I liked this character because of how evil his face is and those powerful red eyes. I thought that transforming it to a character to a style a bit like an anime girl would be great, removing her tail and legs, also, leaving only a more human style keeping certain details that would be characteristic of the character.
To make this drawing I used the watercolor technique on paper. Let's go through the step by step. Enjoy!
Procedure:
First I did the sketch. I did a half sideways pose, where the character sticks his hips out a bit forward. At first I wanted to make an anime type face with the characteristic eyes of the genre, but then it looked very tender, and I needed it to be scary. So I went for big red eyes and a long mouth. At first I forgot to put the claws on her back, they would be added later. I put a short hair type and on the legs the edges of the pants would be a brown stone type.
The character's skin I painted with a combination of pink and light blue. The hair would be magenta and the eyes would be red. The claws on the back I would paint them by mixing ochre with some light skin tone and white, as well as his fangs.
The metal parts of the chest armor and shoulder pads I would paint with the gray degrading the color to the lightest where the lighting reaches. The edges of those armors I would paint them mixing magenta and brown colors. For the pants I used blue or violet, and for the edges of the same, I would use brown.
To enhance the skin color I applied several more layers of watercolor, while forging some shadows and giving volume to the abdomen and breasts using the same mixture with some stronger color and with a higher amount of pigment to intensify its tone. I also added one or two more layers of magenta watercolor to the hair to give more intensity to the tone she was wearing, as well as to the eyes.
Then with the brown color shade the edges of the armor. With the ochre color and mixing with some flesh color shade the claws behind the back.
Then I gave the claws and fangs better contrast than his face. What I do with the edges of his pants is texturing them, and adding a couple of lines and improving the contrast and intensity of the outfit, the same with the purple fabric of the pants.
In the background I wanted to add a brown floor with some walls, where he is.persoje could be in a cave, this I painted with gray color, and as well as with the floor I was adding layers of darker color.
Finally I used my outlining markers to outline the lines of the character and some more of the cave and the floor. I used marker number 08 and 05 for the silhouette of the character and mostly markers number 05 and 03 for more delicate details. And I added a lot of little spiders on the walls. With a blackberry colored pencil I added on the character's skin because I felt it lacked a little saturation, as well as on the pants and a little bit on the hair.

El día de hoy les traigo mi dibujo para el concurso semanal de la comunidad de Splinterlands.
Para esta ocasión decidí usar como inspiración a la carta de Arachne Thug, es una carta de tipo muerte. Me gustó este personaje por lo malvado de su cara y esos poderosos ojos rojos. Creí que transformarlo a un personaje a un estilo un poco como una chica anime sería genial, quitándole su cola y patas, además, dejando solo un estilo más humano guardando ciertos detalles que serían característicos del personaje.
Para hacer este dibujo usé la técnica de acuarelas sobre papel. Pasemos con el paso a paso. Disfruten!
Procedimiento:
Primero hice el boceto. Hice una pose medio de lado, donde el personaje saca un poco las caderas hacia delante. Al principio quería hacer una cara del tipo anime con los ojos característicos del género, pero después se veia muy tierna, y yo necesitaba que diera miedo. Por eso me fui por unos ojos grandes completamente rojos y una boca larga. Al principio olvide poner las garras que tiene en la espalda, luego se las pondrían. Le puse un tipo pelo corto y en las piernas los bordes del pantalón sería de un tipo piedra marrón.
La piel del personaje la pinte con una combinación de rosado y azul claro. El pelo sería de color magenta y los ojos de color rojo. Las garras de las espalda las pintaría mezclando el color ocre con algo de tono piel clara y blanco, al igual que sus colmillos.
Las partes metálicas de la armadura de los pechos y las hombreras las pintaría con el gris degradando el color a lo más claro dónde llega la iluminación. Los bordes de esas armaduras los pintaría mezclando los colores magenta y el café. Para los pantalones usé el color azul o violeta, y para los bordes de el mismo, usaría el color marrón.
Para realzar el color de la piel apliqué varias capas más de acuarela, mientras forjaba algunas sombras y daba volumen al abdomen y los pechos usando la misma mezcla con algún color más fuerte y con una mayor cantidad de pigmento para intensificar su tono. También agregué una o dos capas más de acuarela magenta al cabello para darle más intensidad al tono que llevaba, al igual que a los ojos.
Después con el color marrón sombree los bordes de la armadura. Con el color ocre y mezclando con un poco de color carne sombree las garras que lleva detrás de la espalda.
Después les di un mejor contraste a las garras y a los colmillos que su cara. Lo que hago con los bordes de su pantalón es darle textura, y añadiendo un par de líneas y mejorando el contraste e intensidad de la vestimenta, al igual con la tela violeta del pantalón.
De fondo quise agregar un suelo marrón con unas paredes, donde esté.persoje podría estar en una cueva, esto lo pinté con el color gris, y así como también con el suelo fui agregando capas de color más oscuro.
Por último utilicé mis marcadores de delinear para remarcar las líneas del personaje y algunas más de la cueva y el piso. Usé el marcador número 08 y el 05 para la silueta del personaje y mayormente los marcadores número 05 y 03 para detalles más delicados. Y agregué muchas arañitas por las paredes. Con un lápiz de color mora inte sobre la piel del personaje porque sentí que le faltaba un poco de saturación, al igual que con los pantalones y un poco en el pelo.
