When you enter my apartment, The first thing you see is a Hive logo with my name on the wall. I don't have alot of visitors however, I get chess players and crypto lovers knocking at my door once in a while. I'm a Hive lover and it's not so difficult to know that when you are around me. But there just seems to be this question everyone asks and I just let it slide every time.
How Can I Join Hive?
Honestly, it's an easy question but it comes with a lot of responsibility. The only people I have helped create an account are chess players who were only interested in playing #HiveChess weekly but then I wasn't even happy all they did was play chess. I have alot of friends and I could bring a lot of them into Hive, however, I have tried to avoid falling into a case of losing my reputation over someone I brought.
Over the years, I've taught alot of people about how Hive works and I think I'm ready to bring some of them here.
The Reward System...
I try to talk about this first. Because Every newbie goes around seeing all sorts of payouts on posts which could stir up many questions. So I'd try to bring people from the perspective of having fun, meeting new people, and showing their creativity. Maybe a reverse knowledge that you can't make money from Hive might do the trick, what do you think?
Newbies Guide
One of the drawbacks was that I didn't have a lot of materials to guide the newbies I would be bringing. However, over the last 10 months, I've written and made alot of videos and interviews teaching about Hive and how it works. I believe these contents would make my job easier.
Also, with the help of newbies initiate program, I believe things are alot different and newer. I also have some bookmarked articles I've seen around, it would be nice if I could lay my hands on more newbies guides.
Hive Communities
This is the best time to bring new people because there are more communities on Hive where they can express themselves. Hive is becoming more social than ever, with many more applications and inventions slowly but gradually coming in.
In Conclusion...
This is a short post. Just intended to let people know I'd start onboarding my friends to Hive and I hope they find it as welcoming and easy as I did.
I am @samostically, I love to talk and write about chess because I benefited alot from playing chess. sometimes I share my thoughts on life in general and I write about my love for hive!
I love to engage with others and I love communication. I believe life is all about staying happy and maintaining peace.
