XPOLYCUB seems to be a safe bet with great returns ?
PolyCub seems to have mesmerized me - After my initial investment in the PLEO-WMATIC pool, I still had some USDT left in Binance. All this money was lying idle for long time, so PolyCub seemed to be the perfect opportunity to me. Hence I decided to go ahead with rest of my investment in XPOLYCUB. After buying the Matic in Binance I transferred it to my Metamask wallet and then swap to polycub at https://app.sushi.com/swap
I have always edited the gas fees to high - most of the times it fails, if you do not take care of gas fees.
The polycub appears in my wallet after confirmation.
After that, you need to Enable staking first, before you can stake it.
Unfortunately I did not realize to leave some matic in my metamask wallet.
So when I went ahead for confirming my stake in pool it failed. Hope you learn from this and leave some matic in your metamask wallet.
I had to borrow some matic from @gungunkrishu , to complete my stake. One other thing to observe here is that, you are staking polycub, but you are actually staking it in terms of XPolyCub - so you are going to get the XPolyCub in the PC/xPC ratio - so don't be shocked to see the numbers being less - I realized that later.
And I did not stop here, because looking at the APR in xPolyCub and PLEO-WMATIC pool , I felt, we are going to get more returns in xPolyCub. Yes, the bug in PLEO-WMATIC pool APR has now been fixed - thanks to @leofinance team. So I decided to move my stake from PLEO-WMATIC pool to xPolyCub. It's not that complex to do that - see I have learnt more on defi :) To move your stake from PLEO-WMATIC pool to xPolyCub, first you need to unstake your investment - so I unstaked all of my investment from that pool - with high gas fees always.
After you unstake, you will need to remove your liquidity after which you will receive both Matic and pLeo in your Metamask wallet.
The next step is to swap these Matic and pLeo to PolyCub one by one - because you need PolyCub to stake in xPolyCub. I went ahead with PLeo first. By now you must be very conversant about how to confirm it with high gas fees - ya we are all learning defi :)
Next convert Matic to PolyCub.
Sometimes the swap may fail because of gas fees but it may also fail for not enough liquidity being present. You can see it explorer to know the cause.
So retry with high gas fees , if the error is like the one as shown in explorer (INSUFFICIENT_OUTPUT_AMOUNT), then try to swap in smaller chunks. I did it in two chunks. And this time I did not forget to leave some matic in Metamask wallet, leaving nearly 10 matic in Metamask.
Unfortunately the screen shots I had taken after this were lost - ya that is how my new dell laptop performs (by the way I am planning to sue them now). Once you have the PolyCub in your wallet, you need to go to https://polycub.com/staking and stake your PolyCub there. Again remember, you are going to get xPolyCub in PC/xPC Ratio so the xPolyCub numbers will be based on the current ratio. This is my xPolyCub stake in total.
Hope you will find this helpful to invest in this promising project built by the team. Unfortunately the price of PolyCub has gone haywire - at one point it was more than 5$ but as of writing this post its reduced to less than 3$. But that is how Defi plays out I believe. So invest at your own risk. Before wrapping this post I must say that if you staked in PLEO-WMATIC pool, then you must have got some PolyCub there but there is a penalty to withdraw it. You can see your earning at Home page.
As you can see, I have 104.892 polycub there but its locked. If I unlock then I am going to give 52.45 PolyCub as penalty. So I have just left them there, I need to understand when there will be no penalty. You can choose to withdraw them, by giving that penalty - it will go to xPolyCub earnings.
So with this, I am quit settled with PolyCub - leaving my stake there and expecting some good returns that will help me to buy my dream Car that will cost little more than 25k USD - the price of PolyCub need to reach around 13.5$ for my dream to be true. Hopefully we will get there soon.
