Hail to the Hive!
‘Going Coastal’ always offers up an enormous amount of photographic opportunities and I am realising that in just a week I managed to capture heaps of interesting shots.
Picking ones to use is hard and also with monochrome it can be surprising which ones end up popping and grabbing your attention. I do get a feel for what , I think, will look good in the black and white realm, but even so, it is sometimes a surprise which images grab your attention.
I am regretting not taking the drone to St Ives on this particular day as the tide was way out, the clouds moody and the scope of the town and surrounding coastline was aching for some aerial drama. But I didn’t and had to make the mostmof angles and vantage points on the ground level.
I could have spent another few days there exploring, and may well re visit just for a photo hunt taking the drone too weather permitting.
St Ives has it all, great views, a lovely seafront pub, Cornish pasties to scoff down after a pint mmmmmm why not? And so much imagery to capture.
Having arrived by train on this particular day and checking out the fares from Devon i feel like these images were from a kind of reconnaissance mission for monochrome. A successful reconnaissance mission at that don’t you think?
It would be worth the trip if for no other reason than I do….
