Greetings dear readers, I am happy to be with you once again and share my entry to the weekly Splinterlands contest.
I had a hard time finishing it on time, I've had a very busy week and full of obstacles to focus 100%.
The chosen character was PEMBROOK NYMPH a summoner of the water element. Personally I haven't had the chance to play with her yet but I really liked the character design, she is also a Nymph and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to draw her too.
I was thinking whether to do it in anime style or keep trying with something more realistic, in the end I decided for the realistic style leaving other drawings for another opportunity and dedicate the little time available to this illustration ...

Me costo trabajo terminarla a tiempo he tenido una semana muy atareada y llena de obstáculos para centrarme al 100%.
El personaje elegido fue PEMBROOK NYMPH un invocador del elemento agua. en lo personal aun no tengo la oportunidad de jugar con ella pero me gusto mucho el diseño del personaje, tambien es una Nymph y no podía dejar pasar la oportunidad para dibujarla también.
estaba pensando si hacerla en estilo anime o seguir intentando con algo mas realista, al final me decidí por el estilo realista dejando otros dibujos para otra oportunidad y dedicar el poco tiempo disponible a esta ilustración...

Re-interpreting the character
As a first step we create the basic figure of the character
Como primer paso creamos la figura básica del personaje
once the idea was clear we started to give some details to the sketch, normally I do this in two different layers but this time I wanted to experiment with something different.
al tener clara la idea empezamos a dar ciertos detalles al boceto, normalmente hago esto en dos capas diferentes pero en esta oportunidad quería experimentar algo diferente
my intention was to erase the parts I didn't need and make an illustration without lines as such...
mi intención era ir borrando las partes que no necesitaba y hacer una ilustración sin lineas como tal...
The image of the character as a reference helps a lot to have it always visible...
La imagen del personaje como referencia ayuda muchísimo tenerla siempre visible...
Well, at this point we can see the finished character at least in sketch, it is here when I decide to make the other layer with the final lineart.
Bien, en este punto podemos apreciar el personaje terminado al menos en boceto, es aqui cuando decido hacer la otra capa con el lineart definitivo.
Subtle and nice lines, define the sexy lips of the character, we start step by step, it's a bit tedious because I feel like I'm doing it all over again hehe.
Líneas sutiles y bonitas, definen los labios sexy del personaje, iniciamos paso a paso, es algo tedioso pues siento que todo esto lo estoy haciendo nuevamente jeje.
Well we are at the end of the post! until next time.... OK no haha a little joke. Finally I finished the lineart. at this point the power went out... ah it's a common thing in my country, so we continue the next day.
Bien llegamos al final del post! hasta la proxima... OK no jaja una pequeña broma. Finalmente termine el lineart. en este punto se fue el servicio eléctrico... ah es algo común en mi pais, asi que continuamos al dia siguiente.
A new day, and we can continue with the illustration, we apply the base color and what will be the shadows, on the skin I usually apply and then blur to get a soft tone.
Un nuevo dia, y podemos seguir con la ilustración, aplicamos la base de color y lo que sera las sombras, en la piel suelo aplicar y luego difuminar para conseguir un tono suave.
This is the result, a soft shadow with well-defined dark areas.
Este es el resultado, una sombra suave con zonas oscuras bien definidas.
We reinforce the shadows with a darker tone, and blur the shadows.
Reforzamos las sombras con un tono más oscuro, y difuminamos
We will apply lights but this time more intense using the Illumination effect, I do this thinking about the lights that will have at the end of the drawing to be more exact in the background.
Aplicaremos luces pero esta vez mas intensas usando el efecto Iluminación, esto lo hago pensando en las luces que tendrá al final del dibujo para ser mas exactos en el fondo
It's time to continue applying more base color... all these steps are similar.
Es momento de continuar aplicando mas color de base... todos estos pasos son similares.
We apply the rest of the colors, base some details and something important, repair the view of the hair making it longer and with more logic.
Aplicamos el resto de los colores, base algunos detalles y algo importante, repare la vista del cabello haciéndolo mas largo y con mas logica.
We applied a lot of details, with the help of this type of layer, I would really like to mention all the details and steps but I feel it would take too long and I don't want to bore you jeje
Aplicamos muchos detalles, con la ayuda de este tipo de capa, la verdad me gustaría mencionar todos los detalles y pasos pero siento que tardaría muchísimo y no quisiera aburrirlos jeje
Textures, shines, shadows and many details, it really has many details that are not appreciated with the naked eye... sometimes I feel that they are not valued, but if I don't put them I would feel very bad.
Texturas brillos, sombras y muchos detalles, realmente tiene muchos detalles que no se aprecian a simple vista... aveces siento que no son valorados, pero si no los pongo me sentiría muy mal.
Strangely, this is one of my favorite parts of this drawing, I feel I achieved the effect I was looking for.
Extrañamente, esta es una de mis partes favoritas de este dibujo, siento que logre el efecto que buscaba.
Several hours later so goes our illustration, I was very busy and had to go out a couple of times, but I was still faithful to finish my drawing.
varias horas despues asi va nuestra ilustración, estaba muy ocupado y tuve que salir un par de veces, pero aun asi seguía fiel a terminar mi dibujo.
The hair is the same, first simple shadows without many details and then we add details until we get to the more solid shadows.
El cabello es igual, primer paso sombras simples sin muchos detalles y luego vamos agregando detalles hasta llegar a las sombras mas solidas.
The face bears special attention in the details, especially in the eyes and lips of the character.
El rostro lleva especial atención en los de talles, sobre todo en los ojos y labios del personaje.
Finally, we will apply even more glows with the illumination layer, this time to give logic to the background lights and make the character look better integrated with its environment.
Para finalizar aplicaremos aun mas brillos con la capa de iluminación. esta vez para dar lógica a las luces del fondo y que el personaje se vea mejor integrado con su entorno.
Finally here is the final result, I'm really very satisfied with my illustration, I think I achieved a lot with all the limitations I had to finish it and it was a great experience that will help me in future projects, whatever happens...
