Hola queridos amigos artistas de Hive, comunidad HiveDIY y jugadores de Splinterlands. El día de hoy les traigo un fanart que he estado trabajando desde hace un par de semanas y que hoy finalmente culminé y decidí adjuntar para el concurso de Social Media de la comunidad de Splinterlands.
Como siempre, me parece que una de la mejores manera de divulgar un videojuego es creando contenido acerca de este, y por eso realicé esta ilustración de la carta Cabalist.
A continuación les enseñaré el paso a paso de cómo realicpé la ilustración de este personaje, espero les guste.
Hello dear friends Hive artists, HiveDIY community and Splinterlands players. Today I bring you a fanart I've been working on for a couple of weeks and today I finally finished it and decided to attach it for the Splinterlands Community Social Media contest.
As always, I think that one of the best ways to spread the word about a videogame is by creating content about it, and that's why I made this illustration of the Cabalist card.
Next I will show you the step by step of how I made the illustration of this character, I hope you like it.
Proceso 🌱 Process
Sketch
Para el boceto comencé dibujando una pose que me pareció llamativa para el personaje. Poco a poco fui añadiendo detalles pertinentes. Dibujé la ropa y el cabello, pero me lucían algo extrañas las proporciones de la cara así que con la opción de transformar, distorsioné un poco la silueta y redibujé la cara.
For the sketch I started by drawing a pose that I thought was striking for the character. Little by little I added the pertinent details. I drew the clothes and the hair, but the proportions of the face looked a bit strange, so with the transform option, I distorted the silhouette a bit and redrew the face.
Lineart
Base Color
Para los colores base extraje distintos tonos de la carta original y no los alteré mucho en saturación ya que preferí trabajarlos luego al aplicar las sombras.
For the base colors I extracted different tones from the original chart and did not alter them much in saturation since I preferred to work on them later when applying the shadows.
Coloring
Empecé trabajando la piel con distintos tonos de violeta en opción de capa multiplicar para sombrear en algunas partes, y pequeños detalles en rojo y rosa para tornar más cálidos los tonos de la piel, así como las mejillas y la nariz.
I started working the skin with different shades of violet in multiply layer option to shade in some parts, and small details in red and pink to make the skin tones warmer, as well as the cheeks and nose.
En el cabello sombreé inicialmente con el mismo tono en opción de capa multiplicar para alterar el tono a uno más oscuro. Luego con un violeta oscurecí y acentue algunas partes en especifico para generar los mechones de cabello.
On the hair I initially shaded with the same shade in multiply layer option to alter the shade to a darker one. Then with a violet I darkened and accentuated some specific parts to generate the locks of hair.
Para la ropa utilicé una mezcla de azul oscuro y morado para las sombras. En cuanto a los detalles metalicos un violeta suave, y un tono cobrizo, así como un amarillo pálido en modo luminosidad para hacer los brillos.
For the clothes I used a mix of dark blue and purple for the shadows. For the metallic details I used a soft violet, and a copper tone, as well as a pale yellow in luminosity mode to make the shimmer.
Al finalizar el sombreado, juegué un poco con los colores del lineart para finalmente acoplar todas las capas del dibujo, y de allí empecé a pintar sobre esta capa que quedó para mezclar un poco los colores y unificar el dibujo o renderizarlo un poco, mejor dicho. Fui agregando colores y detalles extra donde lo veía pertinente, de allí focalicé las sombras al lado derecho del dibujo y apliqué un tono oscuro de morado para profundizar, ya que en la parte izquierda se encuentra el poder del personaje cuya luminosidad iluminaría ese lado.
When I finished the shading, I played a little with the colors of the lineart to finally match all the layers of the drawing, and from there I started to paint on this layer that was left to mix the colors a little and unify the drawing or render it a little bit, better said. I was adding extra colors and details where I saw pertinent, from there I focused the shadows to the right side of the drawing and applied a dark shade of purple to deepen, since on the left side is the power of the character whose luminosity would illuminate that side.
Empecé a trabajar los detalles del poder del personaje. Coloreé el círculo que dibujé inicialmente en color lila, lo dupliqué y lo puse en capa de luminosidad, luego con el pincel de desenfocar lo repasé un poco
En otra capa igual en luminosidad con el aerografo y una textura de acuarela hice destellos alrededor de este aro de luz. Luego dibujé los pequeños detalles alrededor del círculo e iluminé las partes donde pegaba la luz en el rostro y torso del personaje.
Para culminar, apliqué un tono más oscuro en el fondo para que resaltara la luz y los colores, y apliqué con el aerografo un poco más de luz alrededor del aro.

To finish, I applied a darker tone in the background to highlight the light and the colors, and I applied with the airbrush a little more light around the ring.
