Hive Savings Account Yield for HBD Savings

• Hive has a stablecoin called the Hive Backed Dollar or HBD which pays 20% interest.

• I wondered if these interest payments are regular, when do they occur and how much could I earn in a year.
• So I did the math on 1000 HBD deposited in a Hive Savings Account, which at 20% should yield 200 HBD per year. And at 200 divided by 12 (or 100 divided by 12 and multiplied by 2) it should yield 8.33 x2 or 16.33 HBD per month.
• Which is not enough to make you rich, but much better then the 0.5 to 4.5% you can get in a bank or other traditional financial savings account.
• So as a proof of concept I deposited 1000 HBD in a Hive Savings Account, and decided to keep a record of my earnings or Return On Investment ROI each month for a year.
• Now while 20% isn't much compared to BItcoin's 180& this year, but it is much better then the 0.5 to 4.5% you can get in a bank or other traditional financial savings account.
• And it is safe from volatility and very liquid or as liquid as anything in the Hive Ecosystem is with all the delistings and closures of centralized exhcnaged which list Hive and HBD.
