Elden Ring - Multiplayer Boss Fight - Rykard, Part 1 & 2 (Gameplay Videos)

This first video contains attempts to defeat Rykard in my friend Fang's world in ELDEN RING on PS4. Like Maliketh, Rykard is one of the more difficult bosses who is tough due to how overall strong they are and due to their second health bar -- without there being temporary invincibility periods, or none that I know of. For this fight, Fang was using an upgraded version of the Serpent-Slaying blade that did a ton of damage to Rykard. Unfortunately he died during the video's first attempt. While waiting to be re-summoned, I messed around with my incantations since I'm a hybrid faith build that could not stand to get close to Rykard due to the surrounding lava pit and the fact that my Endurance stat was too low -- making me more of a glass or even paper cannon. We try to start off each battle with as many buffs possible since we're both very offense heavy. I use Golden Vow and Flame Grant Me Strength since they stack.

On that second run, I try to use more Lightning Spear and Frenzied Burst Incantations since I had to stay so far outside the lava pool before we could transition to part-two of the battle. Round two is a bit insane looking because not only is Rykard wielding a sword but he's much more mobile now. I try to catch him with some giant fire ball spells but sometimes he moved much too far away from me. Thankfully, Fang's Serpent Slayer weapon did a ton of damage against him. Near the end of our second attempt, I was able to add a little Scarlet Rot status-effect due to Dragon Rot Breath but just before Rykard could die Fang succumbed to the lava. Attempt three was basically all super-heavy damage from Fang's Serpent Slayer and me sprinkling Rot Breath. Unfortunately for round two of attempt three we got separated in the beginning but thankfully I was able to keep blasting Rot Breath while Fang dished it out with Rykard in the lava.
