Greetings dear community of artists, I have the pleasure to present you an artwork for Splinterlands. Every week I participate in the art contest, although last week I couldn't participate due to my mother's occupations, but this week I did, so here I am active again. I decided to draw Dragon Whelp, a dragon type card that as soon as I saw it caught my attention. I developed my concept taking into account its element, as it is a dragon I made it flying to show its characteristic features, I hope you like it.
Saludos estimada comunidad de artistas, tengo el gusto de presentarles un arte para Splinterlands. Semana a semana participo en el contest de arte, aunque la anterior no pude participar por ocupaciones de madre, pero esta sí, así que aquí estoy activa nuevamente. Decidí dibujar a Dragón Whelp, una carta tipo dragón que apenas la vi llamo bastante mi atención. Mi concepto lo desarrolle tomando en cuenta su elemento, como es Dragón lo hice volando para mostrar en el rasgos característicos, espero les guste.
The first thing I did was the sketch, I began to draw with graphite pencil and between several strokes I was giving shape to the drawing. Once I did it, I used a pencil to outline and refine details, that way I had it ready to start coloring.
Lo primero que hice fue el boceto, comencé a trazar con lápiz de grafito y entre varios trazos le fui dando forma al dibujo. Una vez lo hice utilice lapicero para delinear y afinar detalles, de esa forma lo tuve listo para comenzar a colorear.
I used green, light and dark marker for the different shades of his body, then I used red and finally gray. I painted in parts until I finished the whole drawing.
Utilice marcador verde, claro y oscuro para las diferentes tonalidades de su cuerpo, después use el rojo y por último el color gris. Fui pintando por partes hasta que culmine todo el dibujo.
For the background I used watercolors as usual, but this time I damaged my brush, so I had to use other tools to paint the background. It was not easy because it was out of my plan, but one of the things we have to do as artists is to solve, so that's what I did.
Para el fondo utilice acuarelas como de costumbre, pero esta vez se me daño el pincel, así que tuve que valerme de otras herramientas para conseguir pintar el fondo. No fue fácil porque se me salió de lo previsto, pero una de las cosas que tenemos que hacer como artistas es solventar, así que eso fue lo que hice.
The result was a mix of everything, I did a red and black sky to make it look like it's flying through the underworld. I'm going to try to buy a new brush this week, but that's as far as my artwork goes.
El resultado fue una mezcla de todo, hice un cielo rojo y negro para que pareciera que está volando por el inframundo. Voy a tratar de comprar un nuevo pincel esta semana, pero hasta aquí mi artwork.
