Here are a few finds on a hot muggy day for #mushroommonday
Here are some waterlogged white mushrooms.
I checked the gills and they are symmetrical with no ring. No milk came out from them so they are no lacctarius, my guess is they might be a form of brittlegill.
Now for some yellow slime mold.
I thought it could be dog vomit slime mold but this stuff had a different mor jello texture. Maybe it is just an earlier version of dog vomit slime mold.
Here are some orange mycena.
I think this guy is a beech rooter, technically edible but small and usually only grow one at a time. So it is difficult to forage enough for a meal.
Here are some mower mushrooms. They show up in lawns and some species have slight amounts of psychoactive compounds in them. You might need a whole lawnful of them to get high though.
These little guys were growing right outside my door.
They resemble a form of ink cap. I'm not sure what their Latin name is. Probably edible but too small and too melty to cook for foraging.
Meanwhile the cicadas are deafening while looking for mushrooms. Next time I will bring some earplugs. They are as loud as a heavy metal concert.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
