Jon Jones is one of those fighters that has been around a long time and has given us lots of reasons to be excited about him. He also is one of the most loathed fighters among other fighters because of various tactics that he uses during fights that other consider to be "dirty" such as leading with extended fingers that lead to eye pokes, and foot stomps while in the clinch. Neither of things are against the rules, but they are frowned upon in fighting circles.
Jones has been in an out of trouble during his time in UFC and there was a period where it looked like he was going to go to jail. I'm sure that his status as one of the greatest fighters of all time helped him to avoid punishment but it seems as though the guy just seems to attract trouble and I think that his ego is a big part of the reason why this is the case.

Jones has been arrested multiple times and has faced a wide variety of charges including manslaughter. He has remained a free man for various reasons, some of which are not available to the public to dissect. I'm sure that his fame and wealth has a lot to do with why he gets away with his sometimes outrageous behavior. The UFC makes a ton of money off of him so they may actually have a hand in keeping him out of any real trouble.
Recently, he blew his top at some drug-testing authorities that visited his house for a drug-testing sample and Jones, who has been through this many times before, really could have handled it better. According to the testing officials that visited his house he got really upset with them for coming when they did and while he didn't threaten them directly, his tone and aggression was a little bit less than cordial, so to speak.
While Jones is not under arrest for this, which would be really difficult to pull off because he was at his own house when the altercation happened, he is going to have a summons and apparently is under police investigation for threatening to kill a drug testing agent.
Now from what I have seen and heard thus far, suggesting that Jones was actually threatening to kill the agent is a bunch of media-spun BS. The only thing that could even be regarded as this was when he said "do you know what happens to people that come to my house? They end up dead." In my mind Jones was probably referencing the recent incident where a thief entered his property, perhaps to try to steal one of his cars, and Jones chased him off with I think it was a shotgun. Plus, when you are on your own property you do have a lot more ability to legally say things like this to people. The agents in question are also seen on his home security cameras high-fiving him and fist-bumping as they were leaving.

This still isn't very good but if you are interested here is a guy who put together all the video that Jones himself has provided. The posters commentary is garbage so you can skip ahead to 50 seconds to see the friendly nature of the ending of the meeting between Jones and the testing agents.
So here is where I actually am going to do something that I rarely do: I am going to side with Jones on this.
The agent here might be attempting to get some money for herself (the woman is the one that filed the complaint) because they did in fact turn up at an inconvenient time as Jones was having a party for a friend, or so he says.
The gall of this woman to say that "Jones seemed intoxicated" is something that really irritates me. The guy, as troublesome as he might actually be, is in his own house and he can do whatever the f**k he wants to there. How dare you complain about someone being drunk while they are at their own home!
Jones has responded to these allegations by telling his side of the story and saying that in the 20 years or so that he has been doing drug testing that he has never been subjected to this level of unprofessionalism. These people turn up like the cable guy (IE, whenever they feel like it) and you are supposed to drop whatever you are doing and do whatever they want?
Apparently Jones became irritated because like most people, he couldn't just pee on command and the woman suggested getting a blood sample instead. The way I look at this situation is that the drug testers, even though they were inconveniencing Jones immensely by turning up during a party, were behaving as if Jon was their subject and he needed to hurry up and comply.
This sort of abuse of power isn't at all surprising because almost anyone in some sort of "mall cop" capacity of power or higher is going to potentially feel like they can push people around just because they are an authority of some sort. For some people, if you give them even a tiny bit of authority, they are going to abuse it and especially if they have the opportunity to make a global celebrity do their bidding. Jones being known for being a bit of a hothead certainly wouldn't have helped this situation.
I think that this agent, Crystal Martinez, is fishing for a payout or hush money and honestly, this is what the police should be investigating. I'm not a huge fan of Jones outside of his abilities in the octagon, but as much as I dislike his egotistical ways, I dislike people with a badge abusing their power even more.
I bet she gets a payday and this story just goes away.
