Working on some PowerPoint pitch, my mind gobbles to the the day, when we used to spend maximum time on the cricket pitch. There were the days when the day begins early on the cricket pitch and ends on the cricket ground. It was time for non stop cricket matches, especially when it comes to Sunday. Our life has now twisted and shifted to a new ground on the computer screen, where we spend maximum hours in prepairing the pitch with charts and figures. No matter, what games we play, we alwsys "give our best". That is what a true sportsmanship is all about.

Sports used to be the lifeline
Remembering my childhood, we used to wake up on Sunday as early as 4AM only to invade on the local pitch. Being Sunday, it going to be quite crowdy, with number of matches played at same ground. So the one who reaches to the main pitch early, takes in charge of it. Our game begins at 6 ends by 12, we quickly take Our lunch and in no time get back to the cricket field by 3PM for another round of cricket till it gets darker. This is how most of Indian bought up in childhood. Cricket is what drives most of Indians. Talks about sports and games, #cricket comes always first. Even at school, most of them have their cricket accessories. If not cricket then we have various other alternative too, football, volleyball, kho-kho and to some extent Basket ball.
I think we are the last generation who spend maximum hours in the playground. Those were the era, where physical activities always constitutes of playing games. If not any popular games or sports we have many other local games to go with, be it hide and seek, or catch the thief or Making chain or many others. Recalling those memories still makes me very nostalgic. School -home-play-study-sleep, this what used to be daily routine. And we enjoyed living with it.
Our own jugaad for sports.
Belongs from a middle class, we have all sorts of *"jugaad" Tto play our games. Like while playing cricket, we used to put bricks or some wooden sticks, or side of a wall as wickets. We used to put sleepers to make our own goal post for playing football. We used to make dinning table for playing table tennis , with glasses as it's net. So we have all the option ready and never ran away from playing games. One common things that we all have common is we have cricket bats and tennis balls at every home. Afterall, cricket cannot go out of our culture. Still many people are fond of cricket. It was only in the later part of 90's that we see rise of Lawn tennis , or athletics. Thanks to the the Television revolution. *Borris Becker? takes over many cricket idol on our home walls.

Virtual games.
The time has changed thick and fast. Now if we talk about sports and games, people always talk about the video games and online games. There is a swift change of taste which gone unnoticed with the new generstion. The launch of computer and video games allow kids to focus more on #Mario #Dave #minesweeper games. They wanted all the comfort of home and started to avoid the playground. Soon, the online gaming took over the new generstion and many kids and adults too like to play some hard-core virtual games. #pubg #wow infact I don't remember much. Thankfully. I am not exposed to games much. Even todsy when we talk about #web3 we only see online #gaming as a growing future. People like to invest more on #play2earn games. To play and to earn. Now people have less sporting kits at home and more online accessories at homes. Playstation, gaming console, advanced computer set-up DVD, cds etc. There is a quick shift of choices from playground to the computer fields. And new generstion find it more favourable. But in process they are running away from.the physical activities.
Play it hard
If we look at the two era, there is a vast difference. Though any kind of games and sports are good for physical fitness and heslthy mind. But when we talk about computer and online games, it is beneficial to mind to certain extent. This is what keeps the previous era more healthier than todsys. They were more exposed to all kind of physical activities. From playjng in fields to cycling to running. Not like playing games at the comfort of home in the couch with pop corns and snacks.

I have seen how life took various turns. From playground to computer games to PowerPoint pitch. It is all about playing in your own way. When we work on excel sheet or any power pitch we too play with number and charts which makes it super challenging and exciting. It takes a heavy toll on mind. Honestly, to many extent working on excel or PowerPoint does gives a satisfaction afterall, after the initial phase spend on playground. Afterall, we are getting paid for it. Now as the #web3 gaming is evolving, we again might see more people.pit hing in for it, just for the sake of money. But again there is risk to, as everyone is not a winner. How the life goings to be, just make sure to "play it hard".
