Good morning! I hope everyone is safe and dry in their homes right now despite another typhoon bringing in more rain all over the island of Luzon. Be vigilant of your surroundings and watch out for the level of flood. Some areas of my town are already submerged by flood and we're just lucky enough we live on a higher area, although our backyard and laundry area has been flooded for days already and water is inching closer to our door everytime it rains hard continuously.
Anyway, I've been loving the cool bed weather because I don't need to switch on the airconditioner as well. That also means less electric consumption. And speaking of electricity, we experienced an electric issue two weeks ago which almost ruined our appliances. If I hadn't gotten angry and raised my voice, my father wouldn't bother calling the electric company. We're probably still experiencing problems with electricity. Ugh.
This gloomy weather really triggers various emotions which kept my mind exhausted and stuck in a battlefield. I tried to get back here last week and thought I finally had the motivation to return to my usual routine. I was wrong. I spiraled back, unable to respond to your replies nor even touch any of the things I should do. Well, except for making mini jellies and attending the birthday of my friend's son last weekend.
I've been feeling sad, angry, and resentful as well. How do you get rid of remembering someone who has done you wrong? I still get intense anger despite leaving the rightful judgement in God's hands and the universe. I'm someone who doesn't forget such things easily and my forgiveness depends on what the person did. I want to forget yet a part of me wants this person to suffer.
My mind has been stressed out and combined with the cool weather, it's no doubt long hours of sleep! How I wish all this pain and negative feelings miracurously get erased when I wake up.
Anyway, I don't think I'm still making sense here. I'm just rambling my thoughts now. Lol. Let me share to you this bowl of arroz caldo or chicken porridge I made. It's the perfect time to make a hot bowl of soup. I had only one chicken breast fillet left so I was only able to make three servings of arroz caldo.
I also made miso soup along with my usual one pot salmon and rice. I added a slice of egg omelette this time because the salmon and rice alone doesn't make me full enough.
I also find the miso soup more delicious and flavorful when I reduce the amount of water. Instead of 8 cups, I reduced it 4 cups only per 1/4 cup of miso paste.
I used my favorite bowl in hopes to make myself a little happy.
Well, I guess that's all. I pray for everyone's safety, except for those who have dones us wrong. Lol. And may you have a vibrant and happy day ahead despite the cloudy and sad weather. Don't forget your umbrella if you're heading out and get updated with the road situation from your town or city. As for me, I'll go resume resting for a while and hope I get better later on. Bye!
