Hello my dear friend @sanjeevm and Also My HIVERS friends and also @asean.hive community friends.
I hope you are all is very happy and enjoy your life with your family and also your health are very amazing.
Rakshabandhan, also known as Rakhi, is one of the most beautiful festivals of India. It celebrates the eternal bond of love, care, and protection between brothers and sisters. This year’s Rakshabandhan was extra special for me because I celebrated it at home with my dear brother Ajit and my two wonderful sisters Ashwini and Sujata. It wasn’t just a festival for us—it was a day filled with laughter, emotions, memories, and the warm comfort of being together as a family.
Morning Preparations – The Festive Buzz
The day began early with the sound of devotional music playing in the background. The fragrance of incense sticks mixed with the aroma of fresh flowers filled the air, creating an atmosphere of pure positivity. My sisters were already busy arranging the pooja thali with all the essentials—beautiful rakhis, rice grains (akshata), red vermilion (kumkum), sweets, and a lit diya.
Meanwhile, I and my brother Ajit helped in decorating the house with fresh marigold flowers and colorful ribbons. The living room became our festival corner, with a small table set up for the rakhi ceremony. A rangoli in bright colors adorned the entrance, welcoming the festive spirit into our home.
The Rakhi Ceremony – A Heartfelt Moment
When everything was ready, the moment we had been waiting for arrived. Both Ashwini and Sujata came forward with the pooja thali in their hands, smiling warmly.
We began the ritual with a small prayer to Lord Krishna, seeking blessings for our family’s happiness and well-being. Then, as per tradition, the sisters applied tilak on our foreheads, tied the sacred rakhi on our wrists, and performed the aarti. The warmth of their hands, the sparkle in their eyes, and the emotional connection we share made the moment unforgettable.
In return, Ajit and I gave them thoughtful gifts—symbolizing our promise to protect and support them always. But honestly, the real gift was the love and bond we already shared.
Sharing Sweets and Stories
No Indian festival is complete without sweets, and Rakshabandhan is no exception. We enjoyed homemade puran poli, laddoos, and barfi. Sitting together, we shared childhood memories—how we used to fight over toys, tease each other during homework time, and secretly save chocolates for one another.
Some stories made us laugh so hard that tears rolled down our cheeks, while others brought a soft silence and a wave of nostalgia. It reminded us that no matter how much we grow up, a part of us will always be those playful, innocent siblings from childhood.
Lunch Feast – A Family Affair
For lunch, we had a delicious feast prepared by our family. The menu was full of our favorites—steaming hot chapatis, spicy paneer curry, aromatic pulao, dal fry, and a variety of pickles. We sat in a circle and enjoyed the meal together, feeding each other bites of sweets as a symbol of love.
The Emotional Side of Rakshabandhan
While Rakshabandhan is joyful, it also makes us think about the deeper meaning of sibling relationships. For me, Ajit is not just my brother—he’s my lifelong friend. And Ashwini and Sujata are not just sisters—they’re my source of emotional strength. We’ve seen each other’s successes and struggles, and through it all, we’ve stayed connected.
Tying a rakhi is not just a ritual; it’s a silent promise. A promise that we will be there for each other, no matter where life takes us. This year’s celebration reminded me that family is our safest place in the world.
Evening Reflections – Holding on to the Moments
As evening fell, the house became calm again. The diya in the pooja corner still flickered softly, and the rakhis on our wrists felt warm against our skin. I sat back and thought about how lucky I was to have such a close-knit family.
In today’s busy world, where everyone is running after their own goals, taking a day to simply sit, laugh, eat, and celebrate with loved ones is a blessing.
Conclusion – A Festival Beyond Rituals
This Rakshabandhan wasn’t just about tying threads or exchanging gifts. It was about reaffirming that no matter how far we go, or how much time passes, our bond will remain unshakable. Ajit, Ashwini, and Sujata are not just my siblings—they are my world.
Rakshabandhan 2025 will always remain a sweet memory, a chapter in our family’s story that we will cherish forever.
THANKS 🙏
