Have you ever made a yam 🍠 for snacks or even tried making a recipe from a yam tuber? This is what I made today as snacks which we can enjoy with hot chocolate 🍫 or a cup of coffee ☕️.
Yam 🍠 tubers are very enjoyed in my country in varieties of ways, including vegetable yam recipes, roasted palm oil recipe which I will bring here to you in no time long, but my today’s recipe from yam tuber is one you will love to make in a combination to some flour 🌾 and spices for that delight of a fried yam meat 🥩 so irresistible.
Lets see the step by step for preparing this yam meat snacks
.# INGREDIENTS:
1/4 of a large yam tuber
150 g of cake flour
1 medium size onions
1 tablespoon of margarine
1/2 teaspoon of curry powder
1/2 teaspoon of chili powder
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1:4 teaspoon of salt to taste
1:2 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon of turmeric
Oil for deep frying
STEPS FOR PREPARATION:
Step 1
I will start this recipe by cutting the yam 🍠 into rounds, then slice each round in a straight chop for easy peeling..
Step 2.
I will peel and drop the chopped yam inside water to retain its whitish color.
Step 3.
Next I will proceed to make the batter first adding the margarine 🧈 and incorporating it into the flour.As here above.
Step 4.
And will add all the spices here one by one to incorporate.

Added some water to gradually stir into a batter .

Chopped in some onions for aroma and incorporate.
Step 7.
And will add the sliced yam 🍠 into the batter and mix them both thoroughly until the batter covers the yam.
Step 8.
Finally will fry the batter coated yam for that crispy spicy yam meat that taste so delicious. Flipping it over to brown up in both sides
