In my school days, a rickshaw, a common south Asian transport mean, was booked for me and my siblings. Rickshaw has to pick us from my home and has to drop Infront of my school. My school was almost 11km distant from my home. Back in those days, rickshaw ride was kind of fun but for school it was difficult and I didn't like it.
Rickshaw journey used to be tiring for all these school children yet it was awesome in its own way as we used to get time to play different games while sitting on our seats.
Oh, I still remember all those fine details of bygone days when I have to get up early at 5'O clock and it was a difficult thing for me to get up. Even now, I am great fan of sleeping. Getting up early, setting tie of uniform and breads are getting cold on dinning table, these were some very clear things which I remember. I remember that my mama used to put a lot of efforts and struggle in getting us ready for the school. We never got late from school and it deserves thanks to my beloved mama.
I don't remember exact date from those school days... But, I remember that incident very clearly.
One very fine morning, I was standing on rickshaw point, waiting for rickshaw. When it arrived, I sat on last seat with my friends. As soon as I sat with my friends we indulged in playing different games. We were playing "guessing words and songs etc". I was within and without game. I was feeling comfortable and uncomfortable at the same time, because I was feeling dizziness due to sleep deprivation. At the same time I had to keep all my nerves active as I was playing games with my friends. Amidst all those high laughter and gossips, I slept like a little cat. I was not aware that what is going on around me. Rickshaw's noise became alien to my ears and I found myself in the realm of dreams. My head was striking my bag again and again because road was not smooth. There were so many jumps on the road which were disturbing my sleep.
My friend, who was sitting along me, tried to wake me up. I wake up and gave a weird reaction to him that's why he let me sleep again. I remember my condition that I just wanted to fell on my bed and sleep for limitless hours and hours.
To everyone's surprise, I strongly fell from Rickshaw. Actually, the back door of rickshaw opened suddenly and I lost my balance. I fell so strongly on road that I lost my dream and opened eyes in conscious word. At that moment, I was seeing blurry picture of motorcycles and cars rushing besides me. I found myself in terrific situation, situation like I am in well of water and I have to move up by my own. At that time, I lured my hand in air. Luring my hand in the air was the maximum thing which I could do at that time because I was in middle of consciousness and conscious environment. Even bluetooth speaker of rickshaw was on and a song was being played on it but that was unable to wake me up.
I tried to yell, scream and to ask for help but my mind was not responding me because I was half aware of the situation. At the same time, my eyes were rolling down tears and my cheeks were getting wet with them.
Someone in the rickshaw, probably my friend, yelled with his high tone "Taha Fell From Rickshaw, Go and Rescue him".
On his alarm, Rickshaw stopped and driver uncle ran towards me. I was crying. He came to me and helped me to stand up. I got up and he dusted my uniform. "Are you okay?*", he asked in apologetic tone.
"Yes, I am okay, but.....", I replied in crying manner.
But?
"I got scratches on my leg"
Driver uncle helped me to walk to rickshaw and he helped me to sit on my seat. He stopped near hospital when doctor checked me up and injection made it's way to me. After medical check up, doctor declared that i am all okay. I went to school and rested in resting room. Every other student asked me about my health. I became good in couple of days and after that incident I never sat on back seat of Rickshaw. That incident always remain in my memories and always remain an haunting allusion for me.
