Good Monday to all our creative community!!! I hope this week has been productive for you and that you are doing well!
I don't have finished projects this week. First of all, I continue knitting a light white blouse made of natural yarn.
I finished knitting the openwork part and switched to the simplest garter knitting. It seems to me that this will better emphasize the openwork part of the blouse.
This week I have made some progress in my work - almost half of the back of the blouse is already knitted.
I do not plan to knit this blouse long. I want it to be long just below the waist.
I plan to return to this openwork pattern at the top of the blouse again.
The next project I did this week was a beach tunic. I have long wanted a tunic made of natural fabric. Of course, you can go and buy it, but I didn't want to. I thought I should sew it myself. But then I need natural fabric for that. I didn't want to go out and buy this fabric since I'm just learning how to sew. And while reviewing my clothes in the wardrobe, I found this shirt.
One woman I know knows that I only wear clothes made of natural fabric and that's why she gave me this white shirt of hers. It was a little big for me, so I put it in the closet and forgot about it. The composition of the fabric here is suitable for a beach tunic. This is exactly what I need for my idea!
First of all, I had to cut off the collar and placket on the sleeves and also cut off the placket for the buttons on the front.
This shirt is very well made, so it took a while to carefully rip off the button trims (I didn't want to just cut them off with scissors, which would have been much faster). Now I have to decide how exactly I want to transform this into a summer tunic. 😀
