This is something I proposed in a video the other day and started to work upon the last week. This is something that is in alignment with the major areas of focus of the LeoGlossary project.
To recap, LeoGlossary is meant to serve multiple purposes:
- act as a proof-of-concept for utilizing the Hive blockchain as a decentralized database
- provide the world with a repository of information relating to finance, business, cryptocurrency, and investments
- establish a series of links throughout the database that can be used by the Leofinance community in their article, adding further knowledge
- improve the ranking of Leofinance in the search engines
To acheive this end, we need to focus upon:
- the establishment of backlinks (both internal and external)
- widen the database by creating more pages
- adding depth by increasing the information on the pages
- keep linking the content together
As we will see, Superpages is a way to really enhance this project.
What Are Superpages?
These are simply the pillars of the LeoGlossary database. To be clear, Superpages are those produced under the @leoglossary account. These are part of the repository being constructed.
Simply, they are pages that are continually and regularly added to so that they cover a topic completely. The idea is two-fold:
- provide a tremendous amount of depth
- fill it with hundreds of links
In other words, the Superpage becomes a respository and hub for information on that particiular topic.
Thus far, these two pages are serving that purpose:

Notice how it is close to 3,000 words. The goal with this page is to get it to at least 7,500. At the same time, it is full of links to other LeoGlossary (and non-LeoGlossary material).
Running this through a link-counter, we see these results:
This page has almost 250 links on it. The overwhelming majority are internal but there are a few external popping up. Here again, the goal is to eventually get this over 1,000 links tied to this single page.
Dozens Of Superpages
The idea is to build dozens of Superpages throughout the year. We are dealing with a rather limits (albeit large) scope. This is not a general purpose database so there is the opportunity to start ranking in certain categories.
LeoGlossary is modeled after the concept of Wikipidia. That is simply a massive database of information all linked together. At the same time, since it became a central hub of information, the external links it generate is unimaginable. There is little wonder why it is ranking on the first page of most searches.
We have some humbler expectations yet we are not shying away. Realizing the expontential nature of links, we can see how quickly things can grow. This is a project that is under 6 months old. After the first month, a page with 30 links was large. Now, we are pushing many toward 200.
Down the road, hopefully we will have dozens with 1,000.
To acheive this end, we obviously need more pages developed. A major part of the process of a Superpage is developing the other pages that are linked. This is how it effectively becomes an information hub. A host of other pages spring up around it.
An example is from the cryptocurrency page. Over the last couple days, as a result of the focus there, we got these pages:
To achieve this end, we would like to get a few people working on different pages. This is something that is built over the course of time. Each day, add a little bit and watch the page grow.
