I read an article today that described why and how some of the world's most famous people like Donald Trump, Andrew Tate and Kanye West have been censored on several social media platforms for breaking rules and making certain statements regarded as hate speeches towards either a race, gender or a group of people on their social media platforms. While we can all agree most of these folks are people with no fear of speaking out and they'd say whatever it is they wanna say.
About Elon trying to make Twitter a censorship free platform that supports free speech, I'd like to see how he does it and how the platform would handle statements that could actually cause a war. Censorship resistance platforms like Hive has its own way of dealing with hate speeches (use of downvotes and muting a user in a community if they don't comply by the rules of that community.
If we are gonna be agitating for Free speech and censorship free platforms, then we also have to find ways to counter hate speeches in some way since they are mostly catastrophic to society and could cause some unrepairable harm to some individuals, a group or a country. Hive has so far been the only decentralised and censorship resistant platform that works..no quite sure why it's hard for world to see it, but that doesn't bother me much since I know it works. It just a matter of time before it gets noticed.
