【 PASO 1 】 Para comenzar debes dividir la tela en las siguientes partes: Falda, parte superior, tirantes y bolsillos, todo duplicado 2 veces.

【 STEP 1 】 To start you must divide the fabric into the following parts: skirt, top, straps and pockets, all duplicated 2 times.

Para una talla "M" o "M Grande" estas son las medidas recomendadas para la falda: De 1.20 o 1.70 metros de largo dependiendo qué tan pomposo quieras que luzca, y 50 cm de ancho a partir de tu cintura o la linea debajo del busto.

For a size “M” or “M Large” these are the recommended measurements for the skirt: 1.20 or 1.70 meters long depending on how pompous you want it to look, and 50 cm wide from your waist or the line below the bust.

El tamaño de los bolsillos dependerá del tamaño de tu mano y qué capacidad quieres que tengan. Aquí tienes el método que yo utilizo como guía hacer hacer bolsillos.

The size of the pockets will depend on the size of your hand and what capacity you want them to hold. Here is the method I use as a guide to make pockets

Para armar mi falda dividí la cantidad de tela en 2 partes iguales para poder instalar los bolsillos primero, izquierda y derecha. Hechos los bolsillos, elaboré un ruedo simple en la parte inferior con costura recta.

To assemble my skirt I divided the amount of fabric in 2 equal parts to be able to install the pockets first, left and right. Once the pockets were done, I made a simple hem at the bottom with straight stitching.

【 PASO 2 】 Dibujé un corazón en papel simple y lo recorté para crear un molde, que replique en pedacitos de tela que me quedaron despues de realizar los cortes de las piezas principales. La cantidad de corazones que logré fueron 9, escogi que irían en todo el borde inferior de la falda, 4 respectivamente de cada lado (frente y parte trasera).

【 STEP 2 】 I drew a heart on plain paper and cut it out to create a mold, which I replicated on fabric scraps that I had left after cutting the main pieces. The number of hearts I managed to get was 9, I chose that they would go all along the bottom edge of the skirt, 4 respectively on each side (front and back).

La ubicación de los corazones la logré midiendo mitades iguales de la tela, es decir marcando primero con alfileres desde el centro hacia afuera a parte iguales, y en su centro sostuve cada corazón con alfileres. Fíjate por favor en las imágenes guía.

The placement of the hearts was achieved by measuring equal halves of the fabric, i.e. first marking with pins from the center outwards on equal parts, and in their center I pinned each heart. Please refer to the guide images.

【 PASO 3 】 Cuando hayas sostenido todos los corazones de tela centrados cada uno en su lugar definitivo, usa la máquina de coser con una puntada N° 2 e hilo color anaranjado, realiza este paso lentamente y con cuidado; cuando termines, corta el "relleno" de cada corazón dejando un pequeño margen de pocos milímetros.

【 STEP 3 】 When you have held all the fabric hearts centered each one in its final place, use the sewing machine with a N° 2 stitch and orange thread, do this step slowly and carefully; when you finish, cut the “stuffing” of each heart leaving a small margin of a few millimeters.

【 PASO 4 】 ¡ESTA ES LA PARTE EMOCIONANTE!, voltea el exceso de tela de los "parches de corazón" hacia dentro de la tela de la falda y sostén de nuevo con más alfileres, debe quedar ajustado pero no demasiado tenso.

THIS IS THE EXCITING PART!, flip the excess fabric from the “heart patches” back into the skirt fabric and pin again, it should be snug but not too tight.

Lleva a la máquina de coser de nuevo con una puntada N° 2 o 3 máximo para "repasar" todo el contorno del corazón, no utilices una puntada más grande porque la figura corre peligro de deformarse.

Take it to the sewing machine again, using a stitch size of 2 or 3 at most, and go over the entire contour of the heart. Do not use a larger stitch size, or the figure may become deformed.

【 PASO 5 】 La parte superior del vestido fue fácil y complicada al mismo tiempo. Te explico: Puedes tomar una camiseta que te guste y doblarla por la mitad, y replicarla en las partes de tela que reservaste al inicio, con ese método obtienes la medida del cuello y las aberturas de los hombros. Esa es la parte fácil.

【 STEP 5 】 The upper part of the dress was easy and complicated at the same time. I'll explain: You can take a t-shirt you like and fold it in half, and replicate it on the fabric parts you set aside at the beginning, with that method you get the measurement of the neck and shoulder openings. That's the easy part.

La parte difícil es cómo instalar el forro de tela. Yo escogi hacer este vestido sin cierre ni botones, quise una pieza sólida, eso significa que la forma ordinaria de instalar un forro de tela no funciona.

The tricky part is how to install the fabric lining. I chose to make this dress without a zipper or buttons, I wanted a solid piece, that means the ordinary way of installing a fabric lining doesn't work.

Explicarlo con fotos es un poco confuso así que te comparto el link de otra artista textil muy talentosa que lo explica a la perfección, te aseguro que funciona y es el método que yo utilicé.

Para terminar el vestido, antes de unir la falda con la parte superior hice un fruncido con esta técnica (se ve en el minuto 7) de doble hilera, toma algo de tiempo pero el resultado es lindo, aunque sigo prefiriendo hacer tablones.

To finish the dress, before joining the skirt to the top I did a gathering with this technique (seen in minute 7), it takes some time but the result is nice, although I still prefer to make planks.
