Most of the time, we complain about the way things are around us, but it's not usually the case with the government every time, and one question I will ask is that, as a human or a citizen in a place where we live, how do you support the growth and development of your vicinity? Many times we cry out that the government is not doing their jobs well, but truth be told, not everything in a country can be attended to by the government. Talking about things that need to be improved, major in my place, there are a series of things that need to be worked on, but for the sake of today's post, I will be delving into the aspect of roads. The road, as we all know, is one of the essential things we humans need for every daily activity we do. Especially if the roads are not in good shape, it will never bring any development to the city, nor will there be any means for basic infrastructure to be supplied to the arena.
Some months ago, I was deliberating with some of my friends, and we were making account of the accident that has happened and has taken some lives, even some that didn't die that got injured; it was about 6 just within a month. The road I am talking about is an old road that led to a connection between two big cities, and more so, it's a federal road, which is another reason I believe this road should be worked upon.
Sometimes the students around this area complained about how they were not at peace with what they were doing because they could hardly cope with the bad roads. Even the bad roads are making things very expensive, so much so that the sellers now complain about the amount they use to send their goods down for sale, and they lament that drivers also charge them so much because their means of transportation gets damaged occasionally.

Why I am talking more about this road aspect is because, amongst the basic amenities we have in life, the road is one of the most important. How can this be improved to protect everyone from the stress the road can give?
- Providing the basic amenities that can be used to repair roads, like granite, cement, water, and even the workers that will work on the road. When these are provided, there won't be any form of long travel when you spend little time on the road. For instance, there was a day I was going out, and I was initially supposed to spend an hour on the road, but I ended up spending about 4 to 5 hours for the journey of an hour.
This will in turn become tiring and might even make someone look for a fast route when going to a place, which can sometimes be a dangerous thing. Remember, our lives are important, and we should not risk them for anything. When there is a better road, there won't be any accidents, nor will there be any form of vehicle damage, because when the roads are not motorable, then the owners are at a big risk of spending on maintenance as well. When these things are in place, I think there will be a better road for movement.
