This post is targeted at those users who are creating new hive accounts via inleo.
This is also written to help those users who created their accounts via inleo however they have not claimed their keys.
At the time of writing this post any user who creates a new user account on hive via inleo is free to claim the keys of your account.
However if a user has created a lite account earlier the user needs to claim the keys.
Earlier a user needed to reach a threshold before they could claim the account.
Let us look at all the steps involved in creating the account to claiming the key.
A user can create a new hive account via inleo from here

This would give you the option to to create a free account by using the existing twitter or Google account.
If you use sign up via twitter

you would be prompted to pick up a username.
This name cannot be changed later on so make sure you give it a thought before picking a username.

Next you need to authorize your account via twitter in case you chose the twitter signup method.

This should take you to your dashboard via an automatic login.
In case you log out of the account you would be met with this login screen.

Till the time a user has not claimed the keys to his account the only method available to a user is the social login via twitter or google.
A lot of users try loin via another front end like peakd.com and are unable to do so because they do not have their keys.
Even the method of trying to change the keys would not work for you till you do not have the keys.
when they get an error they feel their account got hacked.
Steps to login
For all users who have created their account via social sign up via inleo and have not claimed their keys http://inleo.io/login is the place to login via social account sign up.
Steps to claim your keys
These steps are for accounts created via inleo
You must login via http://inleo.io/login
Use the same twitter / x or google that was used to create the account
Once logged in head to settings by visiting inleo.io/settings

This option would be present for you only if you have not claimed the keys.
In case keys have already been claimed this claim key option would not be available.
Click the “start claim process” button
The Key claim process consists of 3 steps
- No 1 : Create a master password : Make sure to create a strong master password

- No 2: Downloading the keys for your account
Next click the “download keys” to your account

- No 3: Submit keys
Next click the “ I have downloaded my keys” button

Doing this should bring a popup that reads...
"Account update broadcast successful for user: please logout and login with your keys."

Once you have done these steps make sure to securely backup the text file that contains your account keys.
The text file contains your
- Posting keys
- Active keys
- Memo Key
- Master Password

Common errors with lite account on inleo / hive
Currently there are users who have not claimed their keys and may face some issues. The above steps are aimed to help them claim their keys and help them in logging back in case they got logged out.
Here are some errors that some users have encountered.
“Hi. Seems that someone changed my keys yesterday, but it wasn´t me. I talked to the Hive Keychain Support, because there is the message that my keys are wrong, he shows me screenshot of the change. I tried to change my keys on peakd, but get an error message .... what should be the next logical step?
My Recovery Account is @leo.voter”
“Hi, I am trying to interact with my hive account, but I get an error. I have been told by several friends who are going through the same thing. I tried to enter the solution to update INLEO keys, but... I get... error. Can someone help me?”
