Woah, day 10! Ten days of me doing the Christmas silver wish list thingie initiative, first started by @silverd510. As a quick reminder, the goal is to post for 12 consecutive days, 12 silver pieces that I would love to be gifted for Christmas.
Moving on...
So today's piece is the most un-coin like...coin we have seen so far. At least the Death Star from a week ago had a round shape...But this one is something totally different! Yet, technical a coin.
And it has a dragon! Everybody loves dragons!
Without further ado:
A horseshoe shaped, dragon themed coin. Yeah, that's something out of the ordinary 😅
And as you can see in the video below, there's a gold version too for the rich folks that can afford it:
This piece is issued by Chad (the country, not the meme), with a face value of 5000 francs and a limited mintage of just 688 pieces
This beautiful 1 Oz Silver coin is dedicated to the horseshoe, sign of good luck. The coin is shaped as an horseshoe, ornemented with dragons, has an antique finish and comes in a case, along with its Certificate of Authenticity. source
Just Google for 1 oz dragon horseshoe to search for this piece. After a quick look, it seems to go for about 150$ a piece. Ouch. I won't ever dare to check for the golden version 😔
