One beautiful thing about the Splinterlands game game is its evolving dynamics. It is great to see that the game developers have always put in effort to update the gameplay in line with community feedback coupled with new card releases that give the game a dynamic outlook that makes it more enjoyable.
It is important to join the league of other users to commend the improved battle user interface and ranked battle overhaul mechanics. The new battle environment sparks curiosity and user engagement while setting up a strategy or tactic for the battle. New summoners added to the rack also make the game a lot more interesting.
Barely a few hours after the announcement of the ranked battle overhaul I drew a splinterlands battle with the Unprotected ruleset which defines that monsters do not have any armor and do not get armor from abilities or summoner buffs. It wasn't fitting for me to use my choicest SUmmoner - Kelya Frendul. Hence, I sought t for a new summoner and that is when I noticed "Underboss Fabino", an Earth Summoner with dual abilities that can be used sequentially. That is, a player can decide to activate either of the abilities at a time.
In an attempt to choose one of the abilities, I also discovered that a player had to select just two monsters on the battlefield that would be affected by the summoner's ability. Wow! just a cool way to improve organic engagement in the tactic stage of the game. I believe this goes s long way to reduce bot activities. Underboss Fabino has a minimum power of 20 and a maximum of 2,415 at the 8th level. One of its abilities gibes +2 melee attack to two friendly monsters while the other ability allows for one enemy monster to be selected for poisoning.
The summoner reminded me of the inspire ability which provides that all friendly monsters receive +1 Melee attack and can be catastrophic in a battle if used twice.
So far, I've had a good count of trying out the newly found ability and summoner and I've been looking out for ways to maximize them as well as well as defined the best set of cards and rulesets where the duo would function well. The Inspire ability and Underboss Fabino Summoner create an environment for an offensive attack in battle especially when a melee attack is allowed.
I drew this battle and decided to field Underboss Fabino summoner. Thr manna cap was 20 and that could only fetch me three monster units to face five. Below are the screenshot of the battle tactics and duel. Thanks to the inspire ability of the summoner that gave us an advanced attack strength.
I won the battle though it wasn't easy. However, I can attribute the battle win to the summoner ability which enhanced the attacking strength of my team.
