Airdrop is the giving away of a coin or token in an effort to generate interest in a specific project, usually in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space. The recipients of the airdrop are always expected to meet certain criteria created by the project team and these criteria vary from simple social to wallet activities or as defined.
I've been a recipient of airdrops since I joined the blockchain universe and I won't be exaggerating if I state that the worth of these airdrops received has surpassed $2,000 and still counting. Major among the airdrops received are the $HIVE and $HBD when Hive forked from steem, $PAL when hive-engine was created, $CUB when CubFinance was created by @LeoFinance and $SPS from @Splinterlands during the year long airdrop to Splinterlands asset holders.

The year long Splinterlands airdrop was unbelievable. I did not know that I was receiving daily tangible drops of $SPS token until 70% down the journey. That was when Splinterlands game became fascinating to me. Tuesday, October 25, 2022 is the D-day
In a recent Discord announcement, the good news for SPS stakeholders is that the GLX airdrop for SPS stakers within Splinterlands will begin on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 3:00 PM.
All that a splinterlands user is expected to do is stake SPS to ualify for the daily airdrop. The prospective GLX airdrop recipient are expected to create an account and connect his wallet to see/claim the GLX rewards.
Sports is an exciting sector and having to engage it on Splinterlands game is going to be super profitably fun. It's a call for all sports and soccer lovers to create a Genesis Sports Goals account and start staking SPS within Splinterlands to claim the airdrops.
