You have more than just tiny skill, you, your musically apt daughter @blessie31 (we look forward to her return when she has time) and your talented husband @jedum all have gifts of music given by the Lord, but there are some improvements to be made. Your vocal tonality was great and your emotional connection is definitely there, the sound quality of the instrumental however needs to be more present, and I am sure your breath control and delivery will strengthen with time. Please try and figure out how to add the instrumental into the actual video.
Currently the beat being played from a separate speaker that is then being recorded through the microphone while you are recording is unfortunately not ideal, because the music is not so present, sounds very thin, monotone dimensional and lacks that impact, unlike how your nicely toned voice is effectively present, the contrast is clear.
There are free software for phones and laptops and desktops that allow you to add instrumentals to the videos themselves.
you can use things like CAPCUT or iMovie or other software like PowerDirector
how would you record this way?
try recording your singing using headphones where you hear the beat in your ears, and you are recording yourself ACAPELLA with the only sound being your voice
then you take that video, put it into a video editor app or website and add the instrumental to the right timing of it
Hope that helps you, thanks for sharing your voice, passion and spirit with us.
