Today I will show you a wonderful walk that I took with my daughter in the Bulgarian city of Plovdiv.
Plovdiv is the second largest city in Bulgaria and is located in the western part of the Upper Thracian Plain.
In the summer in Plovdiv it is very hot so we decided to go for a walk in the evening, hoping that it would cool down a bit.
We entered the city through the famous "Kapana" quarter, which was created as a place where many craftsmen are located. The quarter is a mixture of small streets, each of which looks interesting and colorful. It was full of restaurants that were empty, but just a few hours later, this same place was full of people, noise and music.
There is a lot of graffiti in Kapana, most of which was created during the Kapana Fest.
A very beautiful tree.
We headed towards the old part of the city because we wanted to reach at least two of the hills.
The first place we visited was Jambaz Tepe.
The first place we visited was Dzambaz Tepe. It is located in the easternmost part of the Three Hills and means:
"hill of the tightrope walkers", because of the performances of acrobats and tightrope walkers, which were performed in ancient times on its steep cliffs from the southeast.

In this place is home to the Plovdiv Metropolitanate.
Since 2023 a new church "Holy Archangels" has been built. From the terrace there is a beautiful view of the city.
We continued our walk through the interesting streets of old Plovdiv.
We saw houses with unique architecture, impressive buildings, and interesting museums.
We entered an interesting tunnel that led to a gallery, a shop, and a cafe that were already closed at that time of day, but we still looked around and really liked the decorations.
We were walking towards Nebet Tepe, and sunset was near.
Here we have arrived at Nebet Tepe.
Remains of fortresses, towers, walls, and towers and various other buildings have been discovered at the site.
There are also preserved reservoirs that were used during enemy attacks.
We also entered a secret tunnel located in the rock massif, in which there was a staircase that led us to another exit.
I really enjoyed the walk in Plovdiv. I hope to visit one of the other hills next time I go.
