Looking at the current prompt and what revolves around it, I can't help but shake my head at how boring my life has been in the past 6 months, and the reason I said this is because it's been difficult for me to pinpoint the fun things I've indulged in within that time span. But then, after critical thinking, I was finally able to recognize a few that actually presented me with some form of fun, and I'll love to tell you all about them.
If you're in this part of the world, then you'll understand how difficult it's presently, not just for adults but even children, and that's because there has been a high cost of living, inflation, and a rise in the prices of goods and services. With the way all of these were rising, it has made many, including me, limit how we spend or indulge in fun activities because there's hardly anything to smile about, but since life is full of challenges, we shouldn't give it room to run our lives.
And that's why sometimes in the month of March, I can remember once joining my students on the field to play a football match during their break time. Prior to that, it's been ages since I last played football, and there I was feeling bored and distraught in the office. Then I overheard the students talking about going to the field to play football, and immediately this thought came to my mind: I better join them to participate, and hopefully that would help me clear my mind from what was making me worried.
And even beyond what I envisioned, I did enjoy myself and have a lot of fun. The match began, and it was all a shade of fun, from me getting dribbled by some students and getting laughed at by the students to me doing the same and then scoring. It was just a mind-blowing experience for not just me but the students too, who get an extended teacher's-student relationship with me being the classroom and office conversation.
At the end of the match, I was sweating profusely, and when I raised my head to leave, I noticed other teachers were watching, and some had even gone to change and were running towards the pitch to join us. That's how we went back to the field and played for a few more minutes. It was a day to remember because I literally forgot about my sorrow and was beaming with a smile.
Another fun activity or event I would say I've had in the last 6 months aside from that football match in March would be the one I indulged in just days ago, on Saturday, to be precise. I remember once writing about my plans for this month and how my junior sister would be getting married. That event finally played out this past Saturday, and it was a very lovely occasion that put a smile on my face.
Although it was somewhat stressful having to run around to make sure everything was going smoothly, after all of that, I had fun watching my sister tie the knot with her lover, who happens to be my friend. I enjoyed myself via the sweet meal and different delicacies available to pick from, and I'm not forgetting how I danced and enjoyed the moment with the couple.
These are the few times I'll say I've had fun since this year began until this very day. It's not been easy sailing through difficult times this year, but I'm coping and grateful for life, hoping things would get better and that I'll have more fun moments to indulge in in the later part of this year, which would hopefully be far more enjoyable than the first six months we've spent.
Thanks so much for your time. I hope you enjoyed the read. Have a fun, wonderful, and enjoyable month to come and stay blessed.
