This is my entry for @bliss11's contest. I made this one on Lunapic.
It was slightly difficult finding multiple images that would work together as a traditional animated gif, but I found two that I took the other day along the North Platte that seemed to be good candidates.
I searched for gif makers and found this good article highlighting 15 of them... Online Gif-Maker Without Watermark - surely I can find a few good animations from this group.
Here is the original (its partner is almost identical.)
Here are some of the other versions I captured. Which is your favorite?
Online Image Editor
This is a decent editor. I liked some of their effects, but some of them didn't work very well or it wasn't obvious how to use them... so, I think I'll give it about a B grade.
EZgif.com
This one is a good basic editor, but has no bells or whistles to add sparkles, etc. It has a better size than though.
I added the Nashville filter and a Vignette.
Lunapic
GIMP
Strangely, the Gimp images were difficult to pare down to be small enough to upload onto Hive. It's not an impressive effect either. Pretty disappointing.
Overall
I'm looking forward to some of the more creative things others come up with, but right now, the scope for making cool gifs is somewhat limited.
Image taken in May 2020 with my Nikon D7200.
