Wer wählt Bitcoin? Bitcoin Austria hat anlässlich der bevorstehenden Nationalratswahlen in Österreich allen Kandidaten zum Nationalrat einen Online-Fragebogen geschickt.
Antworten kamen nur von Kandidaten dreier kleinerer Parteien, drei NEOS-Kandidaten und jeweils ein Kandidat der Liste Madeleine Petrovic (LMP) und der KPÖ haben auf den Fragebogen reagiert.
Wenig überraschend sieht die KPÖ in Bitcoin "hauptsächlich Spekulation".
Zwei NEOS-Kandidaten haben auf der anderen Seite sogar Bitcoin-Erfahrung und sehen in Bitcoin eine härtere Währung als den Euro.
NEOS und Liste Petrovic sind sich einig, dass "Sparen mit Bitcoin" steuerfrei sein sollte.
Die Kandidaten wurden auch zur Messenger-Überwachung befragt. Die KPÖ-Kandidatin und ein NEOS-Kandidat sprechen sich für ein Recht auf vertrauliche und sichere Kommunikation im Internet aus, während die andere NEOS-Kandidaten und die LMP-Kandidatin sich Eingriffe bei "besonders schweren" Straftaten vorstellen können.
Stellungnahmen der größeren Parteien gab es auch vor Kurzem in einem Presse-Bericht.

Im Wesentlichen sind jetzt vor den Wahlen alle Parteien irgendwie für Bitcoin. Wahrscheinlich aus taktischen Gründen, um potentielle Wähler nicht zu vergraulen.

Who votes for Bitcoin? Bitcoin Austria has sent an online questionnaire to all parliament candidates on the occasion of the upcoming national elections in Austria.
Responses were only received from candidates from three smaller parties, three NEOS (liberal) candidates and one candidate each from the Madeleine Petrovic List (LMP) and the KPÖ (communists) responded to the questionnaire.
Unsurprisingly, the KPÖ sees Bitcoin as “mainly speculation”.
Two NEOS candidates, on the other hand, even have Bitcoin experience and see Bitcoin as a harder currency than the euro.
NEOS and Liste Petrovic agree that “saving with Bitcoin” should be tax-free.
The candidates were also asked about messenger surveillance. The KPÖ candidate and one NEOS candidate are in favor of a right to confidential and secure communication on the internet, while the other NEOS candidate and the LMP candidate can imagine interventions (surveillance) in the case of “particularly serious” crimes.

Essentially all parties are now somehow in favor of Bitcoin ahead of the elections. Probably for tactical reasons, so as not to scare away potential voters.
