Historic day for Bitcoin! Yesterday, Tesla officially announced to the SEC that it has invested $1.5 billion USD in Bitcoin.
This makes Tesla the first major company outside of the financial industry to officially include Bitcoin as a reserve currency on its balance sheet.
Furthermore, Tesla has announced that it will also accept payments in crypto in the future.
This now clarifies the meaning of Elon Musk's recent Bitcoin tweets, Elon recently changed his bio on Twitter to just "Bitcoin" and tweeted "In retrospect, it was inevitable."
