Der Splinterlands-Proposal für ungefähr $400K hat jetzt doch die Schwelle übersprungen, von den Hive-Stakeholdern finanziert zu werden.
Damit wird Splinterlands erstmals direkt von allen Hivern finanziert, auch von Nicht-Gamern. Aber auch davor haben Hiver Millionen in Splinterlands investiert.
Zusätzlich wird Splinterlands auch immer wieder mit Hunderttausenden Dollar vom eigenen Splinterlands DAO und auch der Verkauf und Kommission von Karten spülen jede Woche Tausende Dollar in die Kassen.
Hinter den Kulissen hat es übrigens einen Deal gegeben. Im Gegenzug zur Finanzierung von Hive, hat Splinterlands vereinbart, Hive stärker zu bewerben, eine Million Hive vom SPL DAO zu staken, und 130K USDT/USDC (vom SPL DAO) in HBD zu konvertieren.
Das bringt kurzfristig einen Push für das Hive-Ökosystem, aber birgt auch das Risiko, wenn Splinterlands die Assets verkaufen muss, Hive zu crashen.
Auf der positiven Seite hat Splinterlands jetzt circa 1 Million USD aufgestellt (Hive DAO, SPL DAO, Promo-Karten-Sale), schätze, dass das etwa das Kapital ist, das SPL für ein Jahr benötigt.
Langfristig braucht das Game aber neue Spieler, dazu müsste es auch Krypto-Investoren außerhalb von Hive ansprechen. Gelänge dies, würde Splinterlands durch die Decke gehen. Das Krypto-Game ist top, aber die ständigen, umstrittenen Änderungen habe viele Hiver vor den Kopf gestoßen.

The Splinterlands proposal for around $400K has now crossed the threshold of being funded by the Hive stakeholders after all.
This is the first time Splinterlands has been directly funded by all Hivers, including non-gamers. But even before that, Hivers have invested millions in Splinterlands.
In addition, Splinterlands is also repeatedly funded with hundreds of thousands of dollars from its own Splinterlands DAO, and the sale and commission of cards also flush thousands of dollars into the coffers every week.
Behind the scenes, by the way, there has been a deal. In return for funding Hive, Splinterlands has agreed to promote Hive more prominently, staking one million Hive from the SPL DAO, and converting 130K USDT/USDC (from the SPL DAO) to HBD.
This provides a short-term push for the Hive ecosystem, but also carries the risk of crashing Hive if Splinterlands has to sell the assets eventually.
On the positive side, Splinterlands has now raised about 1 million USD (Hive DAO, SPL DAO, promo card sale), which is according to estimates about the capital SPL needs for one year.
In the long term, however, the game needs new players, and it would also have to appeal to crypto investors outside of Hive. If this were successful, Splinterlands would go through the roof. The crypto game is great, but the constant, controversial changes have left many hivers scratching their heads.
