I have reached half of my 2023 goal today!
In the past, I had earned a lot of money trading, only to reinvest it in funky ways or gambling it and mostly not making a good use of it.
After experiencing this, I decided that when (not if) I will earn some sizeable trading profits again, I will put some aside for the rainy days and to grow my CryptoWealth long term and withdraw some in FIAT to buy myself a new car.
This time has come!. I have added to my $HBD savings quite a lot in the past 2 weeks. It has grown from an organic run-rate of $100-$150 a month (through posting/curating...) to $5,276 today! I have added close to $4,000 from external sources.
My goal has been to have $10,000 in my savings HBD account by the end of 2023. This would earn me close to $200 a month in interest payments.
I am expecting close to $50 as HBD interests for the upcoming cycle. Not bad...
I have in mind to withdraw these $200 monthly in order to DCA in HIVE! What do you think about it?
There are risks...
I am not a stupid person and I know that HBD is risky in some ways as it is backed by HIVE. Hive being volatile and linked closely to how we develop our beautiful Web3 infrastructure.
As of today, I feel confident that HIVE is solid enought to absorb eventual redemption of HBD for liquid HIVE.
Nevertheless, as much as I love the 20% APR, I believe we should reduce it a tiny bit so that the total amount of HBD does not grow out of proportion. Something like 12-15% would be plenty enough in my opinion.
Time will tell how this investment plays out, in the meantime stay safe out there!
