My favorite strategy in Splinterlands is to dodge attacks and today I'm going to show you how I use it with only cards from the neutral deck.
A good example of this strategy would be the Coeurl Lurker monster, it's a legendary monster from the neutral deck and the reason I think it's a great choice is because it has a lot of attack, speed and life. It also has great abilities that will help it dodge attacks so it will be an even better defense. The only problem is that it's a melee card so it won't be able to attack the backline unless there's some rule in the battle that allows it to attack.
As it is a legendary monster, it has 4 levels, but since renting it at maximum level is high most of the time, I prefer to rent it at level 2 since the cost is much lower and it is still very useful.
Its abilities are Taunt, Dodge, Phase and Thorns. Since I rent it at level 2, it only has the abilities Taunt, Dodge and Phase, but I will explain all of them.
Taunt - This ability will cause enemy monsters to target the Coeurl Lurker, with the exception of the enemy monster positioned at the first position (unless the Coeurl Lurker is at the first position).
Dodge - This ability will cause the Coeurl Lurker to have +25% chance to dodge melee and ranged attacks from enemy monsters.
Phase - This ability will make the Coeurl Lurker able to dodge magical attacks.
Thorns - When the Coeurl Lurker is hit by a melee attack, it deals 2 melee damage back to the attacker.
I have to admit that at max level it is a better choice because of the Thorns ability, but I prefer not to pay almost 10x more because of it and at level 2 it already gives me great results.
Now I'll show you a battle where I used him in my strategy and even though he couldn't attack, he still had a great performance in the battle.

I should have put another monster to heal him but unfortunately I didn't have any available because the Shades of Gray rule was in the battle, so I could only use monsters from the neutral deck.
Even though he didn't attack in second position, the Coeurl Lurker was an incredible choice for this battle.

Por ser um monstro lendário, ele possui 4 levels mas como o aluguel dele no level máximo é alto na maioria das vezes então eu prefiro alugar ele no level 2 já que o custo é muito menor e ele continua sendo bastante útil.

Eu deveria ter botado mais um monstro para curar ele mas infelizmente eu não tinha nenhum disponível porque a regra Shades of Gray estava na batalha, então eu só conseguia utilizar monstros do deck neutro.
Mesmo não atacando na segunda posição o Coeurl Lurker foi uma escolha incrível para essa batalha.
