When it comes to protecting yourself against magical attacks, the summoner Immortalis is one of the best allies you can have in battles in Splinterlands.
In this post, I will talk more about the usefulness of this incredible summoner and why he is my favorite choice for battles with the earth deck.
Immortalis is a legendary summoner in the earth deck and he has 3 uses in battle.
The first use is to reduce the life of enemy monsters by -1, it may seem like little, but the lower the life of my opponent's monsters, the easier it will be to defeat them.
The second utility is to grant the Void ability to all allied monsters, which means that they will only receive half the damage against magical attacks.
The third utility is to grant the Shatter ability to all allied monsters, which means that my monsters will completely destroy the armor of the monsters they hit with their attack.
It may not seem like much, but the Void and Shatter abilities are very useful in battles because monsters with magical attacks or armor are very common in battles, and having these 2 abilities on all my monsters will be of great help to me in achieving victory.
Unfortunately I don't have a great battle example to use so I'll use this battle as an example, in it there are 3 rules which are: Born Again, Rise of the Commons and Briar Patch.
In the Born Again rule all monsters receive the Rebirth ability, this means that after being defeated they will return to the battle with 1 life and 100% of their armor, this ability only works 1x.
In the Rise of the Commons rule only Common and Rare monsters can be used in the battle.
In the Briar Patch rule, all monsters receive the Thorns ability, which means they will deal 2 physical damage to melee monsters that attack them.
With the Briar Patch rule in battle, Immortalis becomes an even better choice because monsters with melee attacks are not normally used much when this rule is in battle, which means that it is more common to use monsters with magic attacks or ranged attacks and Immortalis grants my monsters the Void ability which will be very useful against magic attacks and that is why it is a great choice in this type of battle.
Despite the Briar Patch rule in battle, I still used a monster with melee attacks because I had no options for a good defense in the first position and Pelacor Mercenary is a good choice since it has a good chance of dodging attacks because of its Flying ability, but unfortunately it will still take damage against the Thorns ability of my opponent's monsters.
This was not an easy battle and having Immortalis as a summoner was a good choice because he was very useful against my opponent's magic attack monsters and because he also decreased the health of all enemy monsters.

Infelizmente eu não tenho um ótimo exemplo de batalha para utilizar então vou usar essa batalha como exemplo, nela existem 3 regras que são: Born Again, Rise of the Commons e Briar Patch.
Na regra Born Again todos os monstros recebem a habilidade Rebirth, isso significa que após serem derrotados eles vão voltar para a batalha com 1 de vida e 100% de sua armadura, essa habilidade só funciona 1x.

Apesar de existir a regra Briar Patch na batalha, eu ainda utilizei um monstro com ataque melee porque estava sem opções para uma boa defesa na primeira posição e o Pelacor Mercenary é uma boa escolha já que ele tem uma boa chance de se esquivar dos ataques por causa de sua habilidade Flying, mas infelizmente ele ainda vai sofrer dano contra a habilidade Thorns dos monstros do meu adversário.
Essa não foi uma batalha fácil e ter o Immortalis como summoner foi uma boa escolha porque ele foi muito útil contra os monstros com ataque mágico do meu adversário e porque ele também diminuiu a vida de todos os monstros inimigos
