Hello everybody!
Someone once told me, a good photo is a photo with many colors and I also understand that very few people accept black and white photos, for their own photos. In painting, we rarely see painters paint in monochrome. Perhaps no one wants to be limited to such color choices. But on the contrary, in photography, simple photos help us to have very attractive and artistic photos. As for myself, I usually shoot in black and white on special occasions. I don't usually take a color photo and render it in black and white. But I will choose the monochrome mode on the camera to be able to feel the contrast between the parts and the light sources in the image. In today's post, I want to share with everyone the photos I took recently and also some photos from a few years ago.
I had a wedding photoshoot at a church and the bride was the one who asked me to do a monochrome shot and she explained that controlling the colors was more difficult than in the photo. It will easily cause the eyes to dominate, to the more prominent color blocks, and forget the message of the photo. After hearing the explanations, I understood how she needed the photos and These are the pictures, which I took that day. I just selected a few typical photos to share with everyone
My next photo is a very special one and it took me a long time to take it. This photo was taken in a cave of Ngu Hanh Son mountain, At the top of the cave, there is a small round hole and it is the main light source for the cave. I sat there for quite a while, so I could wait for the sun to hit the cave, to capture those rays. But in the end, it was not until April of this year that I took the picture I wanted, because this is the time when sunlight shines directly into the cave.
The third photo was taken at the sword lake of the Hanoi capital. In the early days of March, the sesame buds change their leaves, which is a beautiful time to capture special moments. Far in the middle of the lake is the Turtle Tower, the famous symbol of Hanoi Capital, the monochrome image helps me to tell the details of the deciduous branches and it brings a lot of charm to this photo.
The last photo is of a fisherman recovering his net, I observed the situation and shot it in monochrome, so that the contrast of the nets could be clearly seen. Unfortunately, this is an unlucky day for him, as this catch has no fish.
In addition, monochrome photography is not the way we see life, even people with color blindness cannot see life in black and white. That's why we often see black and white photos, as an interpreter of life. Maybe my article was not enough or it was too long for you, but these simple things have helped me have a completely different view of monochrome photography. I don't know if it will help you to take better photos, but I think it will help you to view photos more slowly, more carefully, and have a deeper way of feeling.
This is my entry for the #monomad challenge-MONOMAD December 3th run by @monochromes.- , Thank you to everyone who viewed and supported my monochrome post this week, have a nice day everyone.
See you in the next post.
