First things first, so once more a Big thank you to @wiseagent for setting up this contest. Because joining Hive & Leo seems easy..but boy was I wrong.
There is so much stuff that a noob like me is or was not aware about....Staking, pooling, LEOdexing, Curating and many more ing´s I am still unaware off.
So to answer the main question:
What did a 2 week delegation of 250 LP do for me?
Well first of all I did much more mingling.
Where my up vote´s previously were a token of gratitude to the author....now my vote was actually worth something and I could spread real appreciation.
Spreading that appreciation brought another thing to light, which was the curating part.
Still not sure how a up-vote turns into a curation, but i did notice that where my previous vote´s returned 0 Curation reward...now there is an actual value there.
But the best part is that I felt a little less of a noob interacting with people now I that I could actually reward there work.
It makes it easier to ask questions, start conversations or just provide support to others that are new to the community.
Did it make me rich?
Yes in the spiritual sense it enriched my LEO Finance life a lot. I became more active in all areas. I slightly increased the number of people I followed and saw an increase in the people following this LEO Baby.
I learned a couple of neat little tricks and I feel a little more part of the HIVE. These tips, tricks and curation rewards added a little to my balance....but it was outweighed by far by the overall experience.
Any Bad experiences.....
No not really, well I might have made one person angry....Or at least that´s what I think I did...
I asked a friend what I could do with this 250 LP and she explained me very well what the benefits could be. And then asked me to up vote her LEO posts...and I was like of course.
But when I tried to find her posts...I kinda got lost. I did not know how to find a person on LEO. So as I am still very busy learning about everything related to this big bad Crypto-verse I stumbled into, I put my quest of finding her aside planning to figure it out later.
So while I was on my merry way exploring I got a text and why I did not up-vote her posts.
OOPSIE, of course I wanted to do so, but I got distracted. So when I finally figured out How To Find her I was the Elon Musk to the Bitcoin Party (to late).
I found out the hard-way that posts can only be up-voted for a week..or so it seems. So I could only up-vote the one still there.
The Bottom Line
But overall it has been a very useful experience....I learned a lot and I feel more comfortable being here.
Now all I have to do is keep saving my LEO´s so one day I can have my own 250 LP and spread appreciation.
But to answer your question @wiseagent:
Yes these types of contest are great for new joiners to get more involved and a better understanding of the HIVE and LEO universe as it´s immense.
