I'll begin with the German proverb that says,
When wealth is lost, nothing is lost
When health is lost, something is lost
When character is lost, everything is lost.
Sometimes, all we need is the nine letter words " CHARACTER " and not prayer. Prayer is good but prayer sometimes isn't the answer to everything. So many individuals have failed to understand that no matter how we pray, attitude has its place.
A few days back I was discussing with someone about the situation of things in Nigeria and he said, "There are so many people praying to the Almighty for daily bread". I listened as he talked, and he asked a question rhetorically, "If those people should wake up to find a bag of rice at the entrance of their rooms with a tag that says " from God", will they quickly jump at it in thanksgiving or they'll immediately call their pastor to claim that their enemies were at it again."
What I'm pointing at is that your attitude or character towards things is of great importance.
Fact remains that if you lack good relationships with men, then your path to greatness is crawling. God empowers people through relations i.e God works with relationships.
The story of the Shunammite woman from the scriptures says it all. She was not only hospitable, she had character and through Elisha God blessed her with a child.
Many times, we are our own fiend, our attitudes are our own destiny annihilators. Consciously or unconsciously, we might have chased divinely orchestrated abetment due to an ill attitude. So many persons are in distress today not because they lack talent but because they lack character, their character has already hit rock bottom.
We must, therefore, take cognizance of the fact that great opportunities come in disguise i.e from mere people, it is usually overlooked because many are not humble enough to see it.
Note that, an Angel won't always come in form of an Angel.
Character is proof of discipline, responsibility, integrity, it sustains the attraction talents gives to you, it is a virtue that begets "FAVOUR".
Hence, treat people with courtesy, be kind, look down on nobody, prayer isn't all, build relationships.
God uses man therefore respect people, even the least person and in all, get CHARACTER...
