I recently revisited Parque dos Poetas, in Oeiras, and trying to find out a bit more about the name of the fountain that is located at the South Pole, I discovered that it is called the Cybernetic Fountain. A rather unusual name, I thought, but I understood why. This fountain is used in conjunction with other scenic elements, namely light sources and colored lights combined with sound and images. On this perfectly normal Saturday morning, I sat and contemplated the play of tones and sounds that the water fountains provide...
