Here is part 5 of my ideas and proposals I sent to the Splinterlands team
Please only come back at me with good reasoning, I don't just want spam hate etc
Last bit as some people seem to not like my writing style 😅 I am Dyslexic and hate using things like Grammarly as it depresses me so let me know if bits don't make sense!
Cosmetics
New skins, avatars and other fun bits that change the game up can really bring value and appeal to players.
If you look at the amount of different games out there, skins have become a necessity and made it interesting for people.
Would it be possible to have the summoner take actual shape on the game field? New skins for that would sell well. Dosnt have to be fancy but adds potential for more eye candy. Think CS:GO and its skins. They lap that stuff up.
Like a Zaku in a bikini skin for those old timers
Focus Groups
Would you consider focus groups as a way for the company to remain in touch with the player base?
Weekly/bi-weekly or monthly chats with a small handful of volunteers to ask for feedback and other things that they may have on their mind. Like Town Hall stuff but small groups so that it is a concentrated effort.
This could allow the quieter members to have an input in a friendly atmosphere than discord.
DAO
This thing is the bane of my life.
If it has funds, it needs to be used. Without SPL we won’t need a DAO so there needs to be a deal worked in. Think a loan with small interest or even 0 interest to keep the lights on. Give up a share of the company revenue until the loan is paid in full. Set a schedule for full repayment and stick to it. No delays.
Over promising
Stop overpromising. It’s happened the whole time I’ve been here and hasn’t gotten any better. Give yourselves time, don’t rush. If you think 6 months is the target, you tell us 7,8 or 9 months even.
It looks better that promises are kept, to the players, community and potential investors.
Hell you give a 2 month project 6 months, then bam TH starts and you go, so folks we smashed it out, worked hard and here is the finished project ahead of time.
I’ve heard spl described as the game that can’t deliver recently and sadly, I side with them.
