Good day everyone splinterlands community, zactian here. Today I'll blog about another weekly challenge, Battle Mage Secrets, and share my strategy.
What Account Use
I'll play my Scholar Account (IGN: BLTZR-WIZARD-728). I will reveal my primary technique in this rule-set Diamond League level.
Challenge Rule set
Equal Opportunity is the challenge, which gives all units opportunity ability that can first attack the lowest health opponent unit.

INTO THE BATTLE:
Rule Set
- All units will gain the Return Fire ability.
- All units will gain the ability of Opportunity ability.
- Only range units are usable in this battle.
Recommended summoner to use Earthquake for this match:
Since Earth and Fire are only active in this rule set with 45 mana-cap I will choose Fire element with Conquerer Jacek because I want to be the one to make the move first and with speed there's a high chance of incoming miss attacks. Fire Element is a good combo for this rule set because of Molten Ash Golem, Fire Caller, Countess Sinash, and combined with Drybone Raider and Supply Runner. Fernheart summoner is also a good choice because of the closed-range ability but since I don't have that summoner I'll stay for Conquerer Jacek.
Note: I only have limited cards but they are useful in some rule sets and I will try my best to win with existing cards. So if you want a high chance of winning, I advise you to rent or buy useful or stronger cards for most rule sets.
Conquerer Jacek
- Adding speed by 2 to friendly units with Scattershot and Piercing Abilities.
- With the fire element, this is the ideal choice as it allows you to sneak attack with Drybone Raider and do a respectable amount of speed at a 45 mana cap. I can combine it with Supply Runner and Countess Sinash for extra speed because the majority of the unit helps counter all attacks and a chance of incoming miss attacks from the opponent.

My Lineup
First position - Molten Ash Golem
- Acts as a tank in the first position because of decent health which can act as a tank, and it can even attack because of Close Range ability.
Second position - Xenith Archer
- A Second position for Xenith Archer, I chose this for an extra damage tank and I want to protect the main damage at the back position.
Third position - Firecaller
- It can be an additional damage because of 4 range damage and it can act as support to my Drybone Raider because of Martyr's ability.
Fourth position - Drybone Raider
- Main damage to my team with a chance of applying Poison to the enemy unit with 3 melee damage sneak attack
Fifth position - Supply Runner
- Another support unit that has useful abilites Strengthen and Swiftness.
Last position - Countess Sinash
- It can be main damage because of 4 range damage with Blasts ability, and support type because of Swiftness and Affliction abilities.
Analyzing Battle
The opposing team uses Immortalis summoner, which is good because of Shatter's ability, since my strategy is prioritizing speed and not armor, then the opponent Shatter ability is not helping this battle with my team. Though It did have Runemacer Florre a Legendary unit that has 2 magic damage and 3 range damage. I dominated the opponent in speed then there will be a high chance of incoming miss attack.
Effective or not?
Well, it is quite an easy win and luck by my side since my summoner Conqurer Jacec has Scattershot but it did a good job in speed. Also, this battle has a Return and Regret rule set and only Range units are usable in this battle, only high endurance health will be left in this battle or difference in Damage. With my Drybone Raider and combo with Martyr ability from my firecaller being executed, making my Drybone Raider pretty strong in this battle and carried me to victory.
However, I might lose if the other team has some powerful Legendary or uses Fernheart
summoner.
My favorite line-up in the element is water where most units found are high in speed, If you want to use Water Line-up, please read over some of my blogs; they could be useful. 😊
