Do you know about savory crackers? or Namak parey نمک پارے in our language. I loved it as a snack because its very easy to make and veryy delicious.
If you don't know about them I'll tell you. Its a Pakistani snack thats very crispy and made with the simple dough of floor, salt and other things. Which is then cut in stripes and fried until golden brown.
This Sunday evening I thought of making the savory crackers and enjoying them with the cup of of tea.
Ingredients:
1 cup all purpose floor (maida)
1/2 tablespoon salt
1/4 tablespoon baking soda
1/4 tablespoon cumin
1/4 tablespoon ajwain/ carom seed
1/4 cup oil
Hot water as needed
Step by step procedure:
I take a large bowl and strainer on it and add the floor on it. Then I strain the floor.
Here are all the things I add on the floor. Like salt, cumin seeds, baking soda, cumin, carom seeds.
Now I put all these ingredients I the floor.
Now I add 1/4cup of oil.
Now mix it well and gradually add water to make smooth dough.

I mix it until the dough comes together. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until its soft and pliable.
And now rest it almost one hour. And after that make the two balls of same size.
And now make the thin sheet of it.
Now cut the shapes of namak parey.
Now heat oil in the pan over medium heat. Eh the oil is hot I add the dough stripes. And fry until they are golden brown. This will takes almost 2 minutes.

Now remove the namak prey and put them on the plate. And they are ready to serve. I enjoyed it with the cup of tea.
Tips:
- Make sure the oil is hot before frying the Namak Paray. This will help them cook evenly and prevent them from absorbing too much oil.
- Don't overcrowd the frying pan. Fry the Namak Paray in batches to ensure they cook evenly.
- use the tissue paper to drain the extra oil.
- serve with the cup of tea and enjoy it.
