I recently joined a contest in which we were asked to write an SEO friendly post for #Polycub. Thanks, @finguru for providing this opportunity and more to it, providing the right resources to make this happen.
I actually headed out to make an honest attempt on this, researching deeply on Polycub, and also taking seriously all the SEO contents on Hive and those shared by Finguru. This by @pitboy was a really comprehensive but succinct guide on SEO, and it really came in handy.
The result of my work is found in this post: Polycub is DeFi on Steroids: 4 Reasons to Get Invested.
So, recently, I set out to see how this post has done on Google. So I did a quick Google search with the keyword below:
Reasons to Invest in Polycub
Note that Google will prefer showing you results for Polycab, but select the option that you are searching for Polycub to reveal Polycub specific results. With time, this anomaly will surely be fixed when there are more Polycub contents.
So, with that search phrase, "reasons to invest in Polycub", my content was nowhere to be found. I went even to the last search result, and it was nowhere; however, a few days back, making the same search brought my post as the first search result (I failed to keep a screenshot as a piece of evidence).
However, I set out to search word for word maybe to pinpoint my post specifically through Google, but with no success, only the Twitter post was visible.
So, what went wrong?
Could it be that Google delisted my post?
Did I include some blackhat SEO practices? (I am sure I didn't)
So, what could be wrong?
This post was initially made to show my SEO success but now shows an SEO problem.
So, please, #SEO kings and queens on Hive, what is your analysis of this problem?
From the number one in search results to being nowhere to be found on the internet. Where did I go wrong?
