An individual's real attitude comes into full gears when there is wealth, many are meek because they haven't tasted the power of riches. Some won't experience this, not everyone will be rich and wealthy, that is, there is a huge valley between this parallel lives and that is what we are trying to patch.
How do we now link these two parallel lines, how do we create a bridge?
Anyone and everyone could be this missing link, myself and team @steem-lagos as well as dozens of humanitarian groups have volunteered to willingly help to bridge that gap between wealth and poverty, we have tried to provide the basic things that matters to living without getting paid for it. In all honesty, that is; not diverting the funds donated for ourselves and to something else, this we have done in the past with feedbacks and updates, showing the Blockchain communities project done in pictures and videos even when there is an embargo to pictures and video shots in these communities.
We believe helping people in needs shouldn't be for the celebrities, the rich and the extremely wealthy alone, some of those needs are basic education, healthy environment, portable water, good health, good food and clothing. We might not be able to provide this all at once, but its about making impact with the little we have to remove one or two of these needs out of the equation, we also believe if other groups are truthful and faithful to their causes; we shall definitely improve lives to the best of our abilities and capacities.
Our project in the largest floating slum called Makoko is about education at the grassroot level, as it was stated here REACTIVATING MAKOKO A BLOCKCHAIN PROMISE UNFULFILLED, this is the only school the floating community owns and it is gradually falling apart. We want to help rebuild it and donate Textbooks and other educational materials, the community already gave us the go ahead in 2018 but we couldn't raise the funds before the crypto market crash, till now we haven't raised a substantial amount to kickstart the project to get it done once and for all in the shortest possible period of time.
We understand that trust is a missing value in the present world hence we have made promises to update our donors with videos, pictures and short interviews by the residents of the community. Even though our total budget is a little below $10,000, we still get questioned about fraud and scam purposes which is far from the reason why we want to execute the whole rebuilding of the school.
Donations so far is not up to a $90, that's a little fraction of the total amount needed and we hoped this project will be a go and not abandoned with funds refunded. We shall not be discouraged and we hoped the crypto communities help us make an impact in the lives of these little kids.
